  1. Here's an addition with some justice for Dusa: I spoke with a friend of mine who is also deep into mythology and he brought to my attention that the Medusa myth as most people know it was written by Ovid during Roman rule (that is to say, not technically Greek mythology). Medusa proper is just a gorgon, not a priestess turned gorgon. If I were to rate Dusa as just another gorgon who is anxious due to self confidence issues, I would give her an 8/10. Her adaptation is still very cute and appealing so we run into the same problem as the Furies, but overall she's just a funky little monster gal.

  2. I dunno about you but the Hermes I met was incredibly trickstery, he kept appearing as my first god boon in Asphodel BEFORE any of the actual gods I equipped boons to guarantee showing up first. And when I took him he would be like "Oh were you expecting someone else?" or something else that sounded smug and cheeky. I hated it but also had to respect the hustle.

I learned a bunch of new things from this video! Especially interesting were the story variant where Medusa stayed a priestess for Athena, and about Hypnos' other weird powers which all make sense as part of the domain of Sleep.

  3. I think a lot of Sisyphus' design/attitude in the game takes inspiration from Albert Camus' essay 'The Myth of Sisyphus.' At least, that's how I interpreted it. Regardless, super great video! I appreciate the research and time that goes into everything y'all upload 🙂
