  1. The comedic timing of that duo boon was delicious, even if I do feel kind of sorry that all your obol went to it and you really didn't get too much out of it. But hey, at least you now know why it's so expensive! Might be a good way to fill out prophecies too if you need the duo boons for them.

Last episode of the session, but not the last episode of the Unofficial Official BLG HADES thirst list! Number 16, let's go!

  2. Casey, great question about the gods not sensing Zagreus on the surface! Just a friendly reminder that Nyx has shrouded Zagreus’ presence. Chaos themself has a hard time knowing where Zagreus is. I sure hope y’all already heard this, cause I hate spoiling things, but at this point, it must’ve come out.

  3. Funny thing about the relationship between Dionysus and Zagreus, in some versions of myth, they're just straight up the same dude. Well, Zag is reborn as Dio anyway, but basiclly same thing. The game actually references it too at some point.

  4. Getting Hades episodes daily has been a dream! This series is still going strong! Patreon members were eating well back then(And probably are now with the new exclusive series).
Day 'God knows which' of requesting for the return of Shadow Generations and Astro Bot for their extra contents, the original campaign of Sonic Generations,
more Playstation Let's Plays(Ratchet & Clank, Infamous, etc), and some newer releases like Metaphor ReFantazio.

  5. Genuinely curious: The man clearly loves to spam his dash, why is he so against getting boons that enhance his dashing power or amount or dashes? Even more so when his weapon gets him so up into everyones faces.

  6. Day 202 of requesting shovel knight dig or Pocket dungeon also please don't go on a long hiatus any time soon (besides the times your sick) because I still want to see your guys reaction to SO MANY awesome games maybe even the games I suggest *Wink *wink

  7. That extra damage debuff w the green is the same one you have on the mirror, he’s lodging his cast in you (that projectile he shoots that leaves a bomb), then when the debuff leaves the bombs dislodge from within you.

  8. Day 247 of reminding everyone that Ian drank Casey's Nesquik (originally started by heatherramirez6141).
Hermes and Hypnos, gods of the letter H and Ian's distaste. At least they were given a bit of a chance this episode.
    Hades doesn't take chances.

  9. 32:16 I had something like that happen when VSync was turned on. Except it was way more noticeable. Like Zag looked like he was phasing in-and-out of time and space.
I don’t know if it’s just my computer, but VSync recently caused some weird, always practically unplayable issues for me. Like one i had was whenever i played Minecraft: The screen would go black for a couple seconds, and then go back to normal, and just keep doing that forever.
And worst of all is that when it happened, I always think it’s a different issue. Like with Hades, I recently just got a new controller, there were some issues with it anyway, so i thought “Oh, that’s obviously the controller”. And with Minecraft: I was playing modded, so i thought “Oh, that’s probably a mod”.

I’ll probably just have to remember to try and disable VSync whenever i see something weird, i guess.

  10. The 450 cost boon at Styx is a bonus chance of duo/legendary, but the fact that it was THAT duo was very funny. Extra boon rarity… right before Hades. Though that might have been the only one you were eligible for.

I love you doing story speculation, reminds me of the days of Hollow Knight and how much attention you paid to the lore while going through that.

  11. Damn saving up all that money for the Duo boon to be worthless was really unlucky, but at the same time admittedly pretty funny XD.
And Ian is already really strong mechanically so no harm, no foul. Remember that he's barely ever used fists and is already getting to Hades with them when they're actually one of the tougher weapons imo.

  12. Where Dark Regeneration really shines over Cthonic Vitality is the places where you can get large lumps of darkness

Normally it’s not great, you get nothing most chambers while regular darkness chambers give 6 health and miniboss darkness chambers give 15

But stuff like Sisyphus and Infernal Troves will heal you for like 30+ which is like a full region of cthonic vitality healing in one go and the big one is beating bosses when you’ve already claimed your bounty for the heat level and weapon you’re on because then the boss drops a lot of darkness and that plus the fountain is usually a full heal after every boss.

Cthonic vitality is almost always better in the temple of Styx specifically though and may be better for runs where you have bounties to claim instead of farming for darkness.

  13. Alright, got all caught up on the main channel watch so now it's time for more boon-taking stats. For the whole run so far, the numbers are

    Ares: 91%
    Poseidon: 90%
    Demeter: 83%
    Zeus: 75%
    Athena: 73%
    Aphrodite: 69% (VERY nice)
    Chaos: 66%
    Dionysus: 47%
    Artemis: 38%
    Hermes: 34%

    Ares – Encountered: 23, Taken: 21 (4 no choice) = [91.3%]
    Poseidon – Encountered: 20, Taken: 18 (6 no choice) = [90%]
    Demeter – Encountered: 18, Taken: 15 (3 no choice) = [83.33%]
    Zeus – Encountered: 20, Taken: 15 (4 no choice) = [75%]
    Athena – Encountered: 15, Taken: 11 (2 no choice) = [73.33%]
    Aphrodite – Encountered: 13, Taken: 9 (2 no choice) = [69.23%]
    Chaos – Encountered: 6, Taken: 4 (0 no choice) = [66.67%]
    Dionysus – Encountered: 19, Taken: 9 (0 no choice) = [47.37 %]
    Artemis – Encountered: 13, Taken: 5 (2 no choice) = [38.46%]
    Hermes – Encountered: 23, Taken: 8 (1 no choice) = [34.78%]

The Ares bias only grows. Also, I think it's pretty funny that the two gods whose boons you've seen the most are the highest and lowest percentages, which goes to show that it's not just about who shows up the most.
