ranking up chthonic vitality to 3 is kinda pointless in hell mode since the locked lasting consequences always caps it to 2. i know its not the most expensive thing but having the extra bit of darkness could help since you dont really need to rank it up past 2.

Spear with Poseidon special is kinda okay. It's one of those moves that actually packs a real knockback with Poseidon. Granted, you will rely on supplemental boons to make this any good, and that's not something you will definitely get without Olympian trinkets.
On the topic of Attack range hammer, I feel the main problem is that many people don't even realize how long it already is. And also that it's basically just 8-12 extra damage per hit anyway, so you aren't getting that for damage per se…
