  1. I think it's a testament that such a game has great balance that they are both trying and still had 9 games. Shitty new devs like those on AoE4, take notes plz, on how to make one of the most diverse yet balanced rts games.

  2. I was gonna catch up on games this weekend I missed from work but I think it says it all when the grand finals is going to a 9 game series. I'm still gonna watch the others because no doubt they're just as good, but I would have expected a 7 or 8 game tbh.

Also, how fitting that the final match of the series is the Greek unstoppable force matching up with the Greek immovable wall.

    1. Congrats to Ulysses and all the players for an amazing, back and forth, exciting tournament that went down to wire in nearly every series. I really hope the “one win per god per series” rule becomes a mainstay because it keeps the games fresh and likely contributed to the some of the crazy comebacks/long series we saw. No series was a stomp.

    2. Thank you Boit for the constant stream of casting/games. It must have been an incredible amount of work over the past 2 months and none of this amazing experience would have been possible without. Much love to you from New York ❤

    3. Agenda Post:

Main stage of the tournament: 77 games; each game featuring 2 major gods for a total of 156 major god selections

Only 26 were Norse; most of them coming during the first round

After the first round, players picked Norse 15 times. They won 3 times.

Two of those wins were against other Norse gods.

Literally one win against a non-Norse Civ (Suppe’s Odin vs. Joe’s Isis; game 3. Round of 8) and then 10 straight losses in non-Norse matchups before players just stopped picking Norse.

I don’t know if the answer involves buffing Norse or just giving Competetive Mega Random more reliable hunt spawns, but it would be a real shame to see this tourney come back with an entire civilization left out of the meta.
