Timely!
A friend of mine very recently caved to playing Hades because of the Hades 2 announcement.
He's bi so he's loving it.

I just bought Hades because of the announcement of the sequel, but have been wanting to play since the playthrough! Loving it, going at my own pace and slowly getting further and further! After finishing all of the Shovel Knight games in January, this is a great game to finish off the year 😁
I want to replay this from scratch in prep for Hades 2 whenever it comes out. So excited for it! 😀
Note: as a mythology nerd, I really hope Supergiant does more games like this set in other mythologies from around the world.

I hope, if Dan continues to play the game on Twitch, that he goes back to his original save file once he gets warmed up. There were so many story threads that are left for the post-game to wrap up that the PlayFrame series never got to, weapons he never got to use, etc.
Ay! I just picked up a fresh file of Hades again last week before the Hades 2 announcement! Nice timing!
It might not fit the semi-serious setting, but in Hades 2 I'm really hoping for some kind of reference or Easter egg for Bastion and Transistor
Oh wow, Hades gets even better with Pichu and Zote chiming in at just the right moments! 😄
One note on mechanics: Because Hangover stacks (up to 5 times by default) it works surprisingly well on things like the bow special that can do multiple hits – the Doom from Ares is good when your shots hit separate targets; the Hangover from Dionysus (or Demeter's Chill) when you get multiple hits one the same target.
