What, does that imply Icarus was helping Zag out back in the first game, or does Daedalus just figure helping somebody else's son escape a maze for once is a good idea?
Possibly Daedalus was helping Zagreus but like other loyal members of the house, he was displaced and forced into retirement. Icarus however wanted to help Melinoe so he decided to take up his father’s former post anonymously
