  1. theres a witch brew that allows to pause during Chronos fight. I was wondering. mabye its just a boon but after getting that brew and fighting chronos during his insta death phase my character was still alive and it said resisted on the screen. Was that the boon that only allows you to take a certain amount of dmg or was that the witch brew that allows you to pause during his fight but it also allows you to resist his time based abilities?

  2. I feel like Chronos is very difficult for melee after 50% in phase 2. The clock hands, the orbs, the minions, the arena becomes very claustrophobic.
Cant wait for the Extreme Measures version…..

  3. Most guides I’ve watched don’t mention God Mode, but it’s worth turning on if you’re really struggling. It gives you a little bit of invulnerability (up to 80%) every time you die, and you can always turn it back off. I don’t have the skill or time to gitgud, so God Mode is a great way to progress through the game as intended without being stuck endlessly on a hard boss fight.

  4. Thanks, i really needed this guide! I had a lot of experience with hades 1, already gotten 20 hours in the second game, and reached chronos for probably the 7th time in a row but always lose to the scythe… Tbh, i was really close to just giving up and enable god mode, but i have hope this vid will help me finally win

  6. Melinoe staff with Zeus cast is really easy way to beat him. Fast charge omega and lighting lance makes casting safe and easy, and omega cast has high damage even without any of the million synergies. Zeus isn't even mandatory, Hestias fireball cast or Hades cast can work as replacement for Lightning lance, and there's a ton of options for damage casts. Zeus, Apollo, Hephaestus, Demeter and Hestia all have good damaging casts (roughly in that order).
For other support boons, Apollo's Supernova is maybe the strongest support skill that fits in any build, but especially cast builds. Demeter also gets Gale force for extra damage on top of other cast effects. If you're lucky, try to get Chaos boons for cast damage OR omega move damage on top. The faster omega charge also helps, especially if you're not using Melinoe staff (or haven't upgraded it yet).

  7. Great guide. I struggled a lot with Chronos, initially, and it took me quite a few attempts to finally take him down. Weirdly enough, I find his first phase a lot harder than the second one. The room feels more comfortable to dodge his attacks, and I generally find that I usually take down the second phase way quicker than the first one.

I'm currently trying to beat him with the axe on 20 fear, and I'm struggling. I feel like spin to win isn't great for the fight, since his moves come out fairly quickly, and you can't slow down time to charge omega moves. Ironically, I tried him once on 20 fear with the twin blades and immediately beat him. I'm very biased towards Lim and Oros. lol
I think my best run was with aspect of Pan. Aphrodite, Hook Knives and the 360° omega special spread are insane with this. I just placed my cast, charged the omega special and took down like a fourth or so of his health bar with one attack. It's great. And since the damage comes from individual bursts, it's easy to dodge and simply look for good openings.

  8. I feel like chronos has too much health. The fight is so long I sometimes just give up cause my build is too weak to take him down.
    So I just give up.
Is that just poor build choices?

  9. How come you don't use the duo card or the epic increase 1 as they are cards you use to run don't they seem worth it as you thought or does the extra rerolls make up for it

  10. chronos is quickly becoming one of my favorite bosses to fight of all time. every build, every weapon, every run, it's still so engaging to fight him. i run through this game to fight him and everything else is just a super nice cherry on top

  11. My problem with the Chronos fight in particular is that the tells are not easy enough to identify.

Specifically the difference between the Dash, the Slah and the Throw. All of these have relatively quick animations that pull his scythe back, and it tends to be a guessing game for me which one he is doing. I really hope Supergiant makes these more unique because this makes the fight super off-putting for me.

  12. Fun fact. No matter where Chronos is standing and how he is oriented, when he throws his scythe he always does so clockwise

The Titan simply cannot resist making time references whenever possible, even if it leads to his demise.

  13. I needed this guide for the last week, but I finally beat him last night with the torches of all things.I had triple helix hammer with Demeter on cast for freeze, Zeus on special and I just spammed omega special and melted him.
