Khaos IS beyond a deity in Greek Myth. It is a "Thing". The very "Thing" that brought about the primordial deities Erebus, Gaia, Tartarus, Eros and Nyx. Gaia, who then crafted her own husband Uranos gave birth to the titans and Hekatoncharies who rebelled against Uranos. The titans then birthed the Olympian Gods(Minus Aphrodite who formed from Uranos' castrated ballsack). And then the Gods rebelled against the titans. Khaos is quite literally the "Thing" that formed everything.

Hey, I saw that you mentioned that you can’t give nectar to the somber gentlemen in Elysium, but you actually can if you look for him in your Codex, Just go to the section that says “Others of note” and you will gain the ability
Good job on first trying that first phase! The build you had was nice, but you did play very good as well. When he hits you with his own “cast” (when the screen goes all cyan) you take increased damage, so be sure to not let him hit you again after that

A small advice for you but the game very much encourages you to focus on 1-2 gods. I won't tell any more than that.
Now you know the curse of speed, that you get hit in the face at high velocity.
I believe you need to check out the Codex to be able to progress the story with the stranger in Elysium.
Also, Thanatos is such a tsundere, but we love him for it
