🤔 NEW HERE? 🤔
Hi! My name is Christopher Odd, and I’ve been playing video games online for a few years. I really enjoy a variety of games but generally lean towards games with a unique and engaging story (Bioshock, The Witcher, Cyberpunk 2077, The Last of Us, etc), strategy/roguelike games (XCOM 2 War of the Chosen, Darkest Dungeon, etc.), and RPGs (Dark Souls, Elden Ring, Dragon Age, etc). Of course, I am always looking for great indie games, too!

  1. I’m so glad to see that I’m not the only one that got so confused about having to dive into the sand 😂 I spent so long trying to figure out what the game is trying to do so I’m happy that I’m not alone.

    Today’s tip is about keepsakes:

This is a lot more subjective of a take, but I typically think that once I get to Tartarus, my build is basically complete. So I think it’s a lot better to take a defensive keepsake after the fields of mourning, to make the chronos fight easier. I believe the engraved pin is by far the strongest defensive keepsake (not just out of the ones you have, but out of every keepsake). Since it can activate once per chamber, and it activates before you lose your death defiance, it’s a lot more powerful than just the tooltip might suggest. 10 seconds of invulnerability to clear a chamber makes the run to chronos a lot more forgiving, and in the chronos fight itself, 10 seconds of invulnerability to do as much damage to him as you can make a huge difference. And as long as you have death defiances left, the run isn’t over once the 10 seconds is up, you just lose one death defiance and get to continue fighting as usual.

Other defensive keepsakes worth considering are skelly’s and Odysseus’s, so my suggestion is to buy a nectar after every run so you can get all the keepsakes to make the runs easier but also to unlock the upgraded codex.

Good luck and death to chronos.

  2. I almost completed all dark souls games, and I love them to death. I bought this game recently and I I'm telling you, give this guy a break, this game is hard haha. Love you Odd!

  3. The Chronos fight is really difficult, but I think it's an amazing boss fight overall. At first it seems unfairly hard, but after awhile you start to get good at it and then I would say is the perfect balance between still a tough final boss and a feeling of achievement after you win.

  4. So that was Chronos. You did really well. The first encounter is always the toughest as you don't know what he can do.

Given that Chronos is her Grandfather and he was the King of all he has no one but himself to blame for his family.
