  1. 3:06 if anyone is actually interested in a roguelike based on doom, DoomRL (RL does stand for roguelike, this one is very old school and entirely based on the 90s Doom and Doom 2, was itself released in 2002) or Jupiter Hell (a more modern (2021), very polished roguelike but still with the old school roguelike combat) are great, the former just being based entirely on the 90s Doom, enemies and all, and the latter is mostly a remake of that rebranded for IP reasons. This game obviously looks very fun and I'll give it a spin but since that comparison was brought up, I just want people to know that a doom roguelike exists!

  2. You have to really enjoy these kind of games to want to play this, and it lacks my favorite aspects about roguelikes: making constant choices about your resources and power ups to create a build, rewarding player knowledge. It's incredibly difficult for a game like this to grab me if my choices are only about loadout

  3. I think my main concern here is that this is more of an arcade highscore chaser game than a roguelike, so it doesn't really grab my attention, it looked cool from trailers but the gameplay felt shallow.

  4. Final boss is C*m lord lol

I've been playing a game like this called Angelstuck. Everyone needs a frantic game to wind up with. Great soundtrack. I can barely get past the third boss, i think theres 10?

  5. I looove arcade high score chasers so this game is super up my alley. I honestly prefer games like this over roguelikes, I think we’re missing games like this quite a bit in the current landscape, so I’m super happy to see this game here!

  6. You can active sword attack the same as you reload different swords have different ‘active attack types’ and can net you more heavy ammo just FYI. Same as every other ability including the suck up of gems for your super heavy healing attack. You also want to save your health attack for when you can get bigger clusters of enemies which will drop more health gems.
