► Hades 1.0 Full Release Story Synopsis

Hades is a god-like rogue-like dungeon crawler that combines the best aspects of Supergiant’s critically acclaimed titles, including the fast-paced action of Bastion, the rich atmosphere and depth of Transistor, and the character-driven storytelling of Pyre.

As the immortal Prince of the Underworld, you’ll wield the powers and mythic weapons of Olympus to break free from the clutches of the god of the dead himself, while growing stronger and unraveling more of the story with each unique escape attempt.

  1. I'm fairly sure that the duo boon was just activating existing doom immediately, with more damage, rather than applying new doom. But that also makes Impending Doom extra good, because it negates its "longer to activate" malus

  2. The only Hit Point that matters is the last.
Also Aries claiming to be close to Thanatos is probably a reference to the story of Sisyphus. Aries is actually the one who saved Thanatos after Sisyphus chained him up. And It was entirely because Aries stopped having fun with his wars because no one was dying 🙂

  3. 46:40 Money seems like it would be objectively better. 100g is exactly what a pom would cost anyway and charon usually has those, but it also gives you the option of getting other stuff.->Same value but more flexibility.

  4. Love how you went all silent during the Hades fight, you can tell it was tense lol
Could be wrong but at some point you seemed to believe the blade rifts do doom damage and almost got rid of the doom on your attack, even though it was linked to enhancements from other boons. Just in case, blade rifts don't apply doom damage and don't get the benefits from other doom related boons.
And not important but the welcome rug in the lounge and the guardpost rug in the west hall are unique, you can still place both these and the other regular rugs there.

  5. A great build for the Eternal Spear is Boons that gives the Attack and Dash-Strike Damage (preferably Artemis or Athena's), Dash-Strike is still considered an Attack so any Boons you put on Attack will stack on Dash-Strike.
Daedalus Hammer's Triple Strike Dash-Strike (Serrated Point) is a core for this build, your power spike after you get this is gigantic.
Also get Hermes's +Dash just because you can. More Dashes, More Damage.
Then just keep dash-striking your way through the Chambers. You don't even need to get boons for your other arsenal like the cast and your special.
Put Hermes's Keepsake because you'll plow through each encounters faster than Hermes can travel. XD

This is my favorite build, because the DPS is so High and you are fast and nimble. The only downside of this build is it's hard to control the character especially on asphodel because you are reliant of dash, literally dashing all over the place, but still, Serrated Point has a -25% dash range so it works out perfectly.

    TL;DR
Eternal Spear Build. Put Artemis/Athena Boons on Attack and Dash/Strike, Get Serrated Point on the Hammer, Get Hermes's +Dash. Kill Hades.

  6. fyi, duo boons are not offered in Trial of the Gods rooms. I think because it would be a bit absurd for a god to participate in handing you a duo and then immediately rage at you for spurning them by choosing the other god.

(Before they made that change, I actually got a duo conversation between Artemis and Athena in a trial room between…. Artemis and Athena. Awkward……)

  7. If you're looking for ways to boost the Pact of Punishment, I recommend Forced Overtime. The game makes a big deal about it, but I found it easier to adjust to than Damage Control, Middle Management, or Benefits Package. Everything being 20%/40% faster takes some getting used to, but I didn't think it was that bad because I didn't have to change tactics to account for anything new; I just had to learn to react quicker. My default Pact options are maxed out Extreme Measures, maxed out Forced Overtime, and 7:00 Tight Deadline, and those get to 19 heat. And for what it's worth, you stop getting bounty rewards from bosses at 20 heat, so you're really close as it is. After that it's only darkness and gem rewards, and the final statue at 32.
