The idea is you don’t need all to much to defend yourself because your buildings are so strong, and your sentinals do so much. Therefore just get the economy upgrades before you do anything else and write in the DUB

I differ from boits view there. Hero in archaic hardly delays classical age (if food is plenty) while having ur hero travel to its intended place. Late hero may get ur food vills be pushed off or may not give u chance to harass opponents vills since after classical hits, he has to travel long way. U may even find a useful relic r explore map. Feels like hero in archaic is a fairly good choice unless there isn't enough hunt to make a quick classical
