  1. LMAO Dora getting an F tier, this is the drama we love to see 😂😂

Also, remember y'all, when you rank up a keepsake, the green numbers go up (lookin at you Odysseus's Knuckle Bones, with green and white numbers)

  2. I really hope that the broker will have an upgrade that allows for exchanging more materials. right now, we can only exchange bones for 3 things. but nothing gives nectar or exchanges for nectar; you simply have to get lucky during a run. in the first game, we could exchange gems for keys for nectar, which made trading b/w items much easier.

  3. White antlers is going to be nuts, unlike hades 1, you can prob comfortably stay at 30hp, between the extra armor you could get plus shield boon allowing for extra survivability

Not to mentioned with how the arcana is set up, you could just not pick the plus hp arcana and put it elsewhere

  4. The Artemis keepsake is broken, for what I can say. If you take out the health upgrade, that 40% start hiting in the first chamber of the run and the fact that critical is not as common as in the first game just make it even more valuable, its more crit chance than most hunter's mark raritys. Its a 40% PP (pressure points) witch were one of the most reliable boons of hades one. Even the lack of health do not look so much of a problem, because of the armor that we can get (for what i can tell) really easily during a run.

  5. I think Artemis keepsake greatly benefits from being able to stack armor. Requires a setup though.

Get sub 30 health first biome, silken sash second biome, Artemis keepsake after

  6. Hephaestus has a boon that keeps your armor at a minimum of 15 at the beginning of each location. The Arachne keepsake would pair well with that. Tho if you lose all your armor in a location you'd still lose the effect of of the outfit. Now that I think of it you'd only benefit from the keepsake + Hephaestus boon combo on hitless locations.

Also I think the knuckle bones are really good for people that get stuck on a particular boss. Tho maybe Evil Eye would be better

  7. I would much prefer to have god keepsakes with unique effects. That would be an amazing change from the first game. Then maybe you can have a shrine where you can sacrifice/burn/offer some collectible to a god to change the RNG. In this way, they would also have this new economy around that collectible too.

  8. Path of Stars might be similar to Erebus Gates. could give a reason for why they don't appear in Tech Test without it just being explicitly disabled for Tech Test.
for Arachne's Keepsake, ideally obviously you want an Outfit to keep on for the Armor, but just more Armor accumulation can help lower risk. it can potentially rack up more total dmg negation than healing or death defiances by a lot. I'd say it's a pretty solid defensive keepsake for stronger players if taken early. probably not the best if taken late (though even just one region can be up to 20+11*4? Armor)

  9. Feels like the ghost onion would be useful depending on how it applies order wise. Like if it applies first as an effect that sucks. But if it applies after any other health replenishments than it could be decent? Especially in conjunction with boons that reward high health.

  10. I imagine some of the issues (like god keepsakes being mandatory and some keepsakes seeming good for one biome or two) could be mitigated by there being a bunch more total biomes than in Hades I. I get the vibe that it will have more.

  11. They should include a prayer system or something, so you can pray or sacrifice to a god to guarantee a Boon from them.

That way they could have the actual god keepsakes do something interesting and prevent them from being must takes, while still allowing the player to choose Gods for the pool.

  12. I am also in the technical test and it is genuinely so fun. I am for sure looking forward to early access and release. I am wondering how they are going to balance the Arcana card system since even in Technical you can unlock all(?) of them. Some of the chambers do feel a little claustrophobic for the amount of enemies that spawn tho. I am also a switch player so learning how to play on PC while also learning the new game has been rough. Obviously there are some missing elements but for a Tech test the game feels remarkably polished. I haven't had any technical issues yet. Some things do feel unbalanced still but every game has that at some point.

The new elements, the magic, the new gods, just everything is amazing. The game is so beautiful. My fav new goddess is Selene. The ties between Selene, Artemis, Hecate, and Melenoe (spelling lol) seem really interesting. I can't wait to see how it plays out with the whole Silver Sisters thing. I am loving the story and I am already hooked and want to know more. For people with steam it really is worth it to sign up for the Technical and Early access even if you haven't played Hades 1. The story is connected but not in a way that will leave new players feeling lost and out of the loop.

and OMG the voice acting! Its just amazing. Hecate is voiced by the same woman who did the narrator in Balders Gate 3 and she is just fantastic. Every actor does an absolutely amazing job and I can't wait to hear more of their performances. I cannot say enough good things about this game its just an absolute blast. You just have to be okay with dying alot lmfao

  13. White Antler is going to be broken. You can stack armor. The play is to avoid passive heals, go to every shop and buy as much armor as you can. Once it's online, things won't survive long enough to hit you too often.

  14. You're sleeping on Engraved Pin. While it can save you from wasting a DD to a stupid death, that's only it's most base use. You can also trigger it intentionally to the last monster in a chamber for a repeatable heal or ignore incoming boss damage for 10 seconds while you wail on them.

  15. For evil eye, does vanquished me the end of the run or just a death? If something like stubborn defiance exists with vanquishing meaning just a death, then you could get way more use out of it. I appreciate the content and what you do for the community!

  16. Haven't got into the tech test so Idk but I seem to remember there being a boon (Apollo's I think – something like perfect image?) that buffs you at max health? So maybe Dora's keepsake and Aphro's boons are supposed to be enablers for some kind of max health build? Idk, it would take a lot more support but could be interesting if there is an appropriate duo or something.

  17. Regarding Artemis keepsake:
Zeus already has a boon that cuts you mana for a tradeoff, so Hestia boon for -20% HP for +7 mana/s seems pretty reasonable, and with the Arachne and Hephaestus +30 armour in each location is going to be great.
Glass cannon builds with the antler are going to be prevelant, especially since we can't know now if Artemis even is going to be in the room, like Thanatos in Hades I.

  18. God keepsake fix: you can only use one god keepsake per run.

It still lets them be really useful, but will still have to adapt to what we see when playing. Also kind of fits lore wise with gods being jealous and all.

  19. I think the evil eye is another helpful for new players charm. Someone who is struggling with a roadblock in the game can put this on to give them a boost and make their fight against a troublesome boss easier.

  20. If you can stack armour from different sources, Arachne's keepsake is super powerful.
I'm going to imagine a no-hit run here with Arachne's upgraded keepsake, meeting her, plus shop before boss. 20 + 44 armour, plus a dress (30 or there abouts) plus shop. You're walking into Hecate with double your health in armour. If you can beat Hecate normally without a DD, then you're carrying at least 50 armour into the next biome.

  21. 40% Crit on 3* is massiv, BUT only 30 HP is rough. Since in hades1 crit boons scaled very well with themselfs or high power slot boons, I can see a world where you slot in artemis keepsake in late bioms after encountering her/ getting a special hammer or boon.

For high heat this is useless tho: 30 is not enough to take some hits. Remember we have less dashes now and we know of tracking enemy attacks like hecate sheep: maybe in these cases you rather „tank“ some damage and keep up DPS. We will have to see.

  22. Arachne's keepsake seem like it would "heal health" (ie add armor) in advance starting from the first room exit. So with perfect room clears you can get to the boss with some stacked extra "health" even without taking centaur hearts, Arachne room or other survival boons.
Also if you lose some health and then get armor, you get double "healing" after each room – one for health and one for armor.
The question is how much armor you can possibly stack.
