  1. I was running born gain with apollo leg and actually ran out of magic during chronos, I just had so much mana consumption on my attack it was like 60 per omega

  2. How does he have base 70 health without the Titan card on? It feels like I've unlocked almost everything in early access but my base health is still 30 without the Titan card.

I think the real selene change is moon beam, the +5 upgrades to path of stars and those upgrades not being intrinsically tied to the keepsake like chaos keepsake (so they last even after you take the keepsake off) do mean that if you have the flexibility to take it zone 2 you're gonna have a good time with most hexes imo

    Also kind of a cool thing about persephone, both she and her mother demeter's aspects require you to attack using one thing (casts or attacks) to get an empowered special on your weapon, which is a nice touch

  4. I think Born Gain is "just" the Divine Dash of Hades 2. It's the most powerful single boon in the game, but Athena and Hera are somewhat balanced around it? That is, if you have Athena/Hera and the game just refuses to give you that one best boon, your run is going to feel terrible because the rest of their kit is kinda underwhelming.

    Swap Born Gain with any other magick regen boon and tell me Hera isn't the worst god in the game.

  5. I wonder how good storm ring + local climate would be on this aspect. Unlike the apollo cast, storm ring actually does follow you around with local climate. It sounds really strong if it charges glory for every lightning strike

  6. I kind of hope next run is at some impractically high fear, I am thinking everything except the one that removes boons from pool that one can pick from, reduces healing, causes time limits, or removes arcana.

  7. I think Born Gain is never too op, but it seems that way because the other options are underwhelming. Other Gain boons that enable non-stop omega spam are Fluid and Fixed but they have extra steps, while the rest force you to stop spamming to recover, so they don't feel as good. Born Gain is really good that it requires no further investment but also is the only one that can actually make you run out of magic in a long fight (unless you have it at legendary and pom it up quite a bit to reach 0.)

  8. I respectfully disagree about Selene's changes being meh. Wolf Howl is broken if you get one boosted path of stars. I had the easiest ever 32 heat surface run with the skulls because I just got -10 mana cost, Impervious on landing and Bunny hopped around Eris with invincibility. It was hilarious!

People who complain about having their favorite OP builds patched out should view it from this side: That's just the beauty of early access – at least we got to experience those temporary aspects and builds in addition to what will end up as v1.0. That's so much additional variety, even if a lot of said variety is kinda broken and/or we may be a bit sadge when something gets removed.

  10. 7:00 I disagree with you on Selene's changes. The Morph curse now charges so fast you can basically spam it over and over, and spend the entire game killing sheep instead of fighting enemies.
    That's just how strong it is now. Might be nerfed in the future.

  11. this aspect i feel got the best treatment from the changes by far. i LOVE that the extra damage % is for all omegas, and the special control along with the glory charging makes this one of the most fun and also potential deadly aspects
