Death & Hades riding together

As we have learnt, Jesus holds the keys to releasing these 2 horsemen on their pale greenish yellow horses:
18 And the Ever-living One [I am living in the eternity of the eternities]. I died, but see, I am alive forevermore; and I possess the keys of Death and Hades (the realm of the dead Rev. 1:18 AMPC
And they were given authority and power over a fourth part of the earth to kill with the sword and with famine and with plague (pestilence, disease) and with wild beasts of the earth. Rev. 6:7,8 AMPC
It is the Lamb of God, Jesus Christ, Who gave them power over a quarter of the earth’s population. At the time of writing the Earth is populated by about 8 billion people. So, as I mentioned last time, this pair will kill 2 billion.
1.Killing by weapons:
To see how vast a number of dead this will be, compare with the death toll in:
The First World War 1914-1918 when on average 6000 men died each day for the 1500 day duration of the war. Total dead 15 million.

In the Second World War 1938-1945, 55 million were killed.

Total killed in the 2 world Wars 70 million.
Those that will be killed after the 4th seal is opened: 2000 million (2 billion)- In round figures 30x more.
Although in modern warfare the sword is now only used ceremonially, in the first century it was a main weapon.

They were given authority and power over a fourth part of the earth to kill with the sword.The Greek the word for sword here is rhomphaia, a large broad sword used by barbaric people.In our day, it’s legitimate to substitute: ‘Modern Weapons of war’ as the leading cause of death.
Rocket launchers, missiles and bombs will kill many as the 4th seal is opened.
Chemical weapons like chlorine, phosgene, mustard gas and so called Novichoks from Russia will most probably be used during the Tribulation period.

2. Death from famine
They were given authority and power over a fourth part of the earth to kill with the sword, famine….
The total effects of the famine of the 3rd and 4th seals will result in many people starving to death and being tempted to butcher their domestic pets & even their own children.
Present figures show that about 9 million people die of starvation each year.

3. Death by plagues
They were given authority and power over a fourth part of the earth to kill with the sword, famine, plague…..
In the UK in 1665/6 bubonic plague, transmitted by fleas killed 1/5 London’s population (100,000).
In 1918 the Great Influenza Plague killed about 3x as many as died in battle in the 1st World War. About 45 million deaths.
With our modern medicines it seemed unlikely that in the 21st century, plagues could kill large numbers of the population.

Then Covid 19 hit the world and governments have been forced to introduce draconian measures of widespread vaccination, masks, and social distancing to try to contain it.
6.3 million have died so far in this modern plague.

4.Death from wild beasts
They were given authority and power over a fourth part of the earth to kill with the sword, famine, plague and wild beasts of the earth.
Depending on which country you live in , wild beasts including snakes, which in Africa have bitten a few of my DHMI partners, may or may not exist in the wild. But there are over 10,000 zoos in the world.

During the Tribulation these animals may find their liberty and hungry tigers, lions and wolves may once again roam around housing estates, where people in the past have felt safe.

In scripture we see that wild bears were used as a judgment against young boys who had mocked Elisha because of his bald head, 2 Kings 2:23.
Poisonous snakes were sent by God among His Own people because they were complaining about eating manna, Numbers 21:5.

God also used His army of hornets against Joshua’s enemies the Amorites, Josh. 24:1.

As Amos prophesied: “Woe to you who desire the day of the Lord! Why would you want the day of the Lord? It is darkness and not light;
It is as if a man fled from a lion and a bear met him, or went into the house and leaned with his hand against the wall and a serpent bit him.
Amos 5:18,19

These examples show that God can reverse the roles of Man & beast. Instead of man hunting beasts for food, men now become a food source for wild animals.
In Tribulation it will be worse than a horror film from Hollywood.
These first 4 Seal Judgments are just a prelude to even more evil things that will come.
These Judgments are just the beginning of sorrows Matthew 24:8.
