  1. While I think Hades is a wonderful game, I'm not sure it would be suited to your channel, especially if you're not super into it (as it seems by the end of this video?). Still glad to see whatever content you put out regardless!

  2. for me the dialogue is half of the fun of this game, there are thousands of lines of dialogue and they are still unique, 100 hours into the game. Therefore I think an element will be missed if you decide to play it but if you think the gameplay can carry then go ahead for sure.

  3. The combat is so much fun I just keep coming back. 140hrs so far. After you win a run you get the option to make it harder in a variety of ways. You can easily make a (mini-)series out of this without getting bored I think.

  4. My only beef with Hades is the screen gets too busy. Same thing that kept me away from your Neon Abyss content. Why make cool art if you're gonna fill the whole screen with particle effects (also makes it really hard to tell what's going on)?

Would wait until Dan's played a bit before I tune in. He got to the game late, and I've already watched a few others go through the initial learning process. Hope the yonest feedback helps the channel.

  5. I appreciate you trying new games and trying to keep new content cycling through all the time…. but, Dan…. where are the space sims? Think it's time you bring one back to the channel! Elite Dangerous has a massive update coming out at the beginning of 2021 that brings out-of-ship travel on foot and boots on the ground firefights. And Star Wars Squadron comes out this week!

  6. I loved this video, you are really good for just starting too and I’d love to see some more videos on it! And FYI, yellow health means armour and that the enemy can not be stunned, red health means the get stun locked when you hit them

  7. Dan I'm glad that you kept an open mind about this game even though you weren't too impressed with the artstyle. One of those times where the more you get to know the game it becomes more and more fun. Stay safe!

  8. Hades is an incredible game, I would absolutely love to see you do a series on it. There is a ton of depth in the mechanics and progression. There’s a constant feeling of growing stronger so even dying doesn’t feel bad. There are more weapons then you can see and each of those weapons has many aspects that completely change their gameplay. As always, keep up the amazing work:)

  9. Hades has a lot of fake lore, but you really don't need to get into the lore at all to enjoy the game, it has suuuper fluid combat and a lot of synergies with items and powerups. The game has a lot of content and it will take a lot of runs to unlock all of it, and every run has its own uniqueness to it.

  10. There's a lot of people saying they would watch a series of this, but gotta say I'm not sure I would. I love your content in general and I love this game, but I do think the lore and amazing voice acting are kind of pillars of the experience, and if you're not into them and will just be skipping them all, I don't know that I would enjoy that enough to keep watching.

  11. When he started thinking the bombers were the bosses i started laughing, most have said the thinks i think about this game. Great controls, great music, great art, tons of replay-ability. STOP SKIPPING DIALOGUE, hearing you pronounce some of these words and names is half the fun!

  12. The game gets better the more you play it. You start pitifully weak with no realistic hope to win right away, and the sword is my least favorite weapon. The combinations of boons can be very fun and powerful.

  13. 9:25 Ok so, I came here after watching Spelunkus 2 gameplay. Does he just find something to call Saruman in every game he plays? If so, I would love that. Everything is Saruman.
If not, still highly pogged contenticity.

  14. I absolutely couldn't stand this game at first. But holy shnikes does it ever get good if you give it time. For me, I really didn't enjoy the first 2 weapons, which just made the game feel like a slog as a result. But once I unlocked more passives, more everything (Not gonna say more than that). Eff me, it's so good.

  15. I love this game. There really is so much depth to explore, in terms of how you develop your run build and create advantages for yourself in how you approach it. You are choosing out of 3 upgrades over and over again, and you can almost always create a great build. Sometimes though, you craft the absolute Minkus destroyer and push way further, unlocking enough upgrades for you to make it to the next main area.

  16. Real talk – Dan is doing plays 5 minutes in that took me 2 hours to figure out in my game. I will say that I sympathize about the art style. Like, it's great during cutscenes or whatever, but sometimes it just feels visually chaotic when you're trying to do combos and dodge bullets and stuff.
