Hades is a god-like rogue-like dungeon crawler that combines the best aspects of Supergiant’s critically acclaimed titles, including the fast-paced action of Bastion, the rich atmosphere and depth of Transistor, and the character-driven storytelling of Pyre.

BATTLE OUT OF HELL
As the immortal Prince of the Underworld, you’ll wield the powers and mythic weapons of Olympus to break free from the clutches of the god of the dead himself, while growing stronger and unraveling more of the story with each unique escape attempt.

UNLEASH THE FURY OF OLYMPUS
The Olympians have your back! Meet Zeus, Athena, Poseidon, and many more, and choose from their dozens of powerful Boons that enhance your abilities. There are thousands of viable character builds to discover as you go.

BEFRIEND GODS, GHOSTS, AND MONSTERS
A fully-voiced cast of colorful, larger-than-life characters is waiting to meet you! Grow your relationships with them, and experience thousands of unique story events as you learn about what’s really at stake for this big, dysfunctional family.

BUILT FOR REPLAYABILITY
New surprises await each time you delve into the ever-shifting Underworld, whose guardian bosses will remember you. Use the powerful Mirror of Night to grow permanently stronger, and give yourself a leg up the next time you run away from home.

NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE
Permanent upgrades mean you don’t have to be a god yourself to experience the exciting combat and gripping story. Though, if you happen to be one, crank up the challenge and get ready for some white-knuckle action that will put your well-practiced skills to the test.

SIGNATURE SUPERGIANT STYLE
The rich, atmospheric presentation and unique melding of gameplay and narrative that’s been core to Supergiant’s games is here in full force: spectacular hand-painted environments and a blood-pumping original score bring the Underworld to life.

  1. I dunno how far ahead you actually are from your recordings, but an extra explanation on the heat gauge! Your clears / heat is specific to each weapon, so when you started your run at 18:00 , you made the game more difficult than you needed too! If you beat this run , you'll get the reward for heat 5, and will have to beat it again with that same setup to get your heat 6 rewards.

  2. Once you get more comfortable with getting through the game and have a few more wins under your belt, I hope you try Extreme Measures – it actually changes the boss fights in really interesting ways that are fun to play! I personally think the Hydra is the only one who has kind of a boring change lol

And yeah as other comments have said, Heat thresholds are per weapon (may even be per Aspect but I don't know on that one) so you definitely don't need more after every win

  3. Since you'll be messing with the pact, I'll give my 2 cents:
    – I don't change the first four, not worth it imo.
    – I'd advise taking Extreme Measures first (Ranks 1 and 2) so you can get used to it. For me, EM3 is a run killer most of the time, but that's because I'm too aggressive in Elysium.
    – Calisthenics Program can be pretty bad, especially if you also use Tight Deadline.
    – Benefits Package is not so bad, but can be dangerous, especially the armored enemies Hades summons. I like it 'cause random enemy buffs are fun.
    – Middle Management is easy, just an extra enemy in mini-boss fights
    – Underworld Customs can be bad if you don't have fated persuasion from the mirror, but I think it's an easy 2 Heat.
    – Forced Overtime is an "easy" 3 Heat (don't underestimate the attack speed buff), but I never used both ranks.
    – Heightened Security is a trap, pun intended. Hades' green pots are traps and deal 150 damage.
    – Routine Inspection pretty much never.
    – Damage Control is free 2 heat, especially for high speed weapons (bow, fists and rail).
    – Approval Process can be used for fun, but I don't recommend it for high heat.
    – Tight Deadline: 9 minutes is a lot of time (36 min in total), but you have to get used to it. You might want to enable the timer, so you can get an idea of how it works before trying this.

Of course, you'll still need to escape using each of them at least once, if you want to complete the list of fates. You also only receive bounties up to Heat 25, but I don't think the series will last that long lol

  4. I beg to differ on Aphrodite’s Aid. When it’s fully charged/heat gauge is maxed (this is key) it does a big damage shot (the 2500 damage it’s talking about in it’s description). No additional enemies required. I always used it to fry the final phases of bosses.
