  1. It's entirely irresponsible for you to be complaining about pricing for products designed and made by a few people in a small shop who have families to feed, ALL WHILE ASKING PEOPLE TO PAY YOU MONTHLY THROUGH PATREON for providing opinions in videos. I have the first version of the Erebus and it's one of the best sounding and versatile mono synths that I've ever played. I'm lucky and honored to have been able to own it, especially knowing that it came from people that you can actually get to know. And it cost less than anything put out by Moog, Behringer knockoffs or Arturia.
Honestly, most of you YouTubers are getting stupidly arrogant and all you do in your videos is complain about tiny things, as if that's what people want to hear when they click on what is supposed to be a review.

  2. "Hey look, it's the guy that sold me my Nymphes"

Jokes aside, I love the Nymphes. I also managed to get an Erebus with the limited paint scheme ─ and it looks beautiful. It can go from synthwave to "PBS nature documentary from 1979" really quick. The two complement each other well and I've had good results.

I picked up the nymphes, then immediately grabbed the typhon. I like the nymphes because its fucking weird. I like the typhon because it reminds me of my dsi evolver, there is something about the oscillators that ring in that direction, and I adore my evolver, so these two will probably end up married in my journey. I just don't feel either erebus or hades would work for me(there is this weird voice inside that has a tone which means it has use for me). Usually this hinges on a unit either being super versatile or really damn weird(unique). As my synth master taught me wrong as a joke(still charged me full price though), thus I generally use things wrong, versatility makes it seem like I'm doing something cool and progressive, and if it's weird, well, who says no one is making outsider music in 2023? Ha. If they re-did the medusa I might be interested, but it needs quirks, less locked down, more freedom to break the chain.

  4. Have you tried the Dreadbox Typhon yet, Benn? It’s particularly excellent. And has patch memory, sequencer, and build in effects by Sinevibes. And the effects parameters are part of the mod matrix, so can be pet of the patches, themselves. And every patch has an associated sequence. HIGHLY recommended synth. One of my favorite few synths in my collection.

  5. Happy New Year, Benn! Been a while. I went the other way and fell into the MV-1. A fantastic tool, but shift, ctrl 2, roll value, push enter, yeah.. and the screen is byte sized. Well.. awesome tool! πŸ™‚ Power over USB, and can do batteries. Like a big brother MC-101, and a 707 without all the "I'm doing this live!" I want a Polyend Play so bad.

  6. I am in the US, and I just bought Hades directly from Dreadbox the other day. I did not have to pay the VAT, and it ended up being 302 USD after my CC conversion from euros. And I've also previously bought from them and not had to pay VAT.

  7. You should seriously try the Typhon. Dreadbox are the best. I have the Nyx V1, Erebus V2, Erebus V3, Typhon, and Nymphes. I wonder how close the reissues sound to their originals.

  9. I love knobs… cause that's how I am… and then you brought in the Poly Play. ARGH! Couldn't get my head wrapped around that thing. Admittedly too, I sped your jam sessions up to 2x from "I can't find another patch cable"… Groove acid house with you head-banging. Whoop! Any chance you can tell me what that Wah Wah thing is?
