Ok so i need to kinda point this out cause it's just kinda annoying the umpteenth time you hear it, the god where not dicks, that is the pop media version of them that comes around when you take myths from all over the diverse range of cultures from ancient greece, across hundreds of years, from story and play writers, historians, politicans, religious people etc, and smuch them together into one "canon". The gods are usually seen as the most perfect beings, with Zeus the biggest and best of them all. Hades actually does a really good job of this, cause while they're antagonistic and can get offended and retailate in kind, they aren't "bad" they are upset you would choose one over the other, and seek to punish you for that transgression, not because they suddenly hate you, but because it would be viewed as some sign of arrogance. That isn't to say the gods lined up with our modern morality, or did stuff that we would think of as morally justifiable. But they were far more than just assholes.
also Orpheus is the guy who convinced Hades to let his lover return to life, so long as he not look back on the path, but thinking he was tricked when he couldn't hear her behind him, and then looked, resulting her into staying dead.
