The protagonist’s name is likely Melinoë, given her relation to Zagreus and her association with who is CLEARLY Hecate. Super hyped! ❤
Her name is Melinoë, confirmed in a recent article.
My theory is that this takes place at least 30-100yrs after the original game. Chronos breaks out of the Underworld,probably on Melinoe's watch and imprisoned Hades, Poseidon, and Zeus as well some of the other Olympians that defeated the Titans. We already know that Zagreus can't help bc he can't survive outside of the underworld for long. Melinoë is a witch and probably can use magic to prevent her dying on earth or maybe she is more like her mom, a god of life and earth rather than of the underworld and death. If I had to take a guess I'd wager that Melinoë is connected to the moon and her teacher Hecate is definitely connected to moon and the night so maybe Melinoë can walk the earth at night.

Only game that was worth watching game awards . Star Wars and armored core too I guess but no sekiro 2 or elden ring dlc so lame
I’m just hoping that since this sounds like it’s going to have an even bigger world and more content, that Zagreus will be playable as another option after you’ve cleared the main story, and that even co-op runs would be possible in that way.

In greek myth Melinoe is the daughter of persephone and zeus this because the orphic believed that zeus and hades were seen as the same diety
This is also proven imo by the wreath she wears on her head is similar to zeus
Which makes me want to see the new drama that this family would bring, and if zagreus knows he has a step-sister fathered by his uncle zeus and mothered by persephone
Or they chose a different god to mother melinoe other than persephone
How do you pronounce Melinoë? Either Anglophone or Grecophone, I mean as a person who didn’t know Persephone and Tisiphone was pronounced that way until Hades 1 and said “Per-se-fohn” and “Ti-si-fohn” prior instead of “per-se-foh-nii” and “Ti-si-foh-nii”
0:33 apollo wasnt in hades he was cut in the first game (his boon symbol is still in the game files as far as i know)
I’m wondering how Zagrius will play in this. My hope is he provides Melinoë boons but he might be a boss to test her or also imprisoned by Chronus. On that note, I hope Persephone is okay.
