  1. Meg was my gay awakening. Although I really didn’t know back then. Thought „I wanted to be like her“. Only in the closet you could say that while falling head over heals for her XD

  2. The Disney animated stuff might be for children, but there are plenty of not for children animate movies out there, too. Give “The Haunted World of El Superbeasto” a watch sometime.

  3. I remember when i saw this movie in the theater and in the translation for my country they cast Ricky Martin for the voice actor for Hercules and he sound so snooty and presumptuous I left the theatre thinking, why are you doing this to us Disney? WHY? . That ruined the movie for me

  4. This movie is very underrated in my opinion. The colors and art style are amazing and iconic. The music is great and the voice acting is amazing too. I was a kid when this came out and I remember getting stuff form McDonalds with Hercules characters on them. Like plates and toys. Nostalgic movie.

  5. Sorry for double commenting but I wanted to point out that Meg's voice actor also plays a character in a Studio Ghibli movie called Spirited Away if you haven't seen that!

  6. Zero to Hero is a montage over the months and months it took for Hercules to raise up and im betting that Meg has been around to at least push him into conflict as with the Hydra and of course it gives her glee to see Hades finally bested its not sudden love

  7. 22:57 That remind you of anyone? Or something said about that familiar face in another movie?

As for Hades, he certainly has a good balance of evil and humor. A villain with personality is always nice. He's my favorite part of this movie.

  8. There are two kinds of leaders. The one who lets the one they lead figure things out for themselves and the ones who guide you toward the answer. Zeus fits the former. Both are legitimate ways of teaching. Being a true hero isn’t something you just give away the answer to and Even if he gave him the answer, it doesn’t mean he can do it or that it’ll mean he’s a true hero legitimately. Let’s say he had the answer and acted accordingly. It wouldn’t be genuine. It wouldn’t be something he learned through experience. It’s essentially cheating lol it has to be something you do instinctively or else what’s the point? Also, mortals can’t live in Olympus. It’s literally the land of the gods. Lol I don’t think Zeus could give Hercules his god if he wanted to. Even if he could, he shouldn’t. That’s kind of an abuse of power and heavy favoritism when compared to others who became gods by proving their worth.

  9. Sad fact: in Greek mythology Hercules marries Meg and have children but Hera, Zeus's wife, hated Hercules because Zeus and sex with a mortal woman who have birth to Hercules so Hera takes over his mind and forces him to kill Meg and his children

  10. It's not especially accurate to Greek mythology and it's a little funny that they have Hades' hair change from blue fire to orange when he's mad even though blue fire is hotter, but even with those inconsistencies this movie is still a ton of fun . I absolutely love the decision to play Hades as essentially a sleazy car salesman and Meg has the amount of sass and sarcasm I aspire for.
