Final Fantasy XI #645, Adoulin: Abomination: Hades [2] Attempts

Previously, Heorot continued the Seekers of Adoulin mission line. He carried out Seekers of Adoulin Mission 5-3-1: “The Secret Guardian” and Mission 5-3-2: “Watery Grave”, where he faced Teodor in the Rala Waterways. Afterwards, he carried out Mission 5-3-3: “Blood for Blood” and Mission 5-4: “Reckoning”, where he defeated the first form of Hades in Ra’Kaznar. Now, for Mission 5-4-1: “Abomination”, he will make a few attempts to defeat Hades’ second form.

Heorot resumes in his Mog House in Bastok. He is currently a Red Mage/White Mage. In his Delivery Box, he receives gil for a Pluton, three chunks of Beitetsu, and three Riftborn Boulders that sold at auction. Many thanks to the buyers!

When he is ready to go, Heorot goes out to Bastok Mines.

Bastok Mines (time 1:33):

Heorot teleports to Home Point #1 in the Ra’Kaznar Inner Court, Ra’Kaznar.

Ra’Kaznar Inner Court (time 1:57):

Heorot arrives at I-8 on Map 2. He takes the Vertical Transit Device to the Ra’Kaznar Turris.

Ra’Kaznar Turris (time 2:51):

Heorot goes down the ramps and examines the Ominous Postern. He chooses the “Abomination” battlefield. The “Awakened Crystallized Psyche” temporary key item is consumed.

“Abomination” Battlefield (time 4:39):

Heorot and his Trust NPCs work with Arciela and Teodor to confront the second form of Hades. This is the first attempt.

For some reason, Hades’ HP bar is not shown. He uses a lot of AOE attacks, including knockbacks. His attacks get nastier as his HP dwindles. Arciela and Teodor must be kept alive to win the battle. It seems that the players’ Cure spells do not work on Teodor, which complicates things. Hades has a move that inflicts Silence and one that inflicts Petrify. He rotates his elemental affinity. However, Teodor tends to cast spells that Hades is currently weak to.

It sure would be nice if healing items could be used on Trust NPCs.

The battle ends in failure when Teodor is defeated.

Ra’Kaznar Turris (time 26:57):

Heorot takes the elevator back up to the Ra’Kaznar Inner Court.

Ra’Kaznar Inner Court (time 28:10):

Heorot emerges at I-8 on Map 2. He automatically receives another “Awakened Crystallized Psyche” temporary key item.

Heorot teleports to Port Bastok.

Port Bastok (time 28:38):

Heorot visits the Curio Vendor Moogle at K-12 and picks up more Hi-Elixirs. Then, he enters the Residential Area.

Mog House (time 29:48):

Heorot changes his main job to Level 99 White Mage with Black Mage as support job. Then, he goes back outside.

Port Bastok (time 30:29):

Heorot teleports to Home Point #1 in the Ra’Kaznar Inner Court, Ra’Kaznar.

Ra’Kaznar Inner Court (time 30:54):

Heorot arrives at I-8 on Map 2. He takes the Vertical Transit Device to the Ra’Kaznar Turris.

Ra’Kaznar Turris (time 31:32):

Heorot arrives at I-8 on Map 2. He takes the Vertical Transit Device to the Ra’Kaznar Turris.
