► Hades 1.0 Full Release Story Synopsis

Hades is a god-like rogue-like dungeon crawler that combines the best aspects of Supergiant’s critically acclaimed titles, including the fast-paced action of Bastion, the rich atmosphere and depth of Transistor, and the character-driven storytelling of Pyre.

As the immortal Prince of the Underworld, you’ll wield the powers and mythic weapons of Olympus to break free from the clutches of the god of the dead himself, while growing stronger and unraveling more of the story with each unique escape attempt.

  1. Well done! Hades is going to be a hell of a fight. You had a solid melee build, and it was just a case of learning his many moves. I advise trying to get to Hades with the bow using a AOE cast + poke build, and then watching and learning his techniques. That will make dealing with him using other weapons with less margin for error (melee weapons) easier. Thanks for the great videos! 🙂

  2. In the final shop, the prices weren't inflated I think.
The pricier Boons are of higher rarity, and the pricier Poms upgrade by multiple levels.

EDIT: Also your cast was working properly. You changed it into a pulse around you with that Dual Boon.

  3. Looked like some destructible terrain and some area to the right of the last fight. I would guess they're irrelevant, but since Hades went on about being blind to what's right in front of you, who knows.

  4. I hope I don't sound pedantic here, and apologies in advance if I do! "Singular" in the context of Malphon's codex entry means something more like "especially excellent" or "very unique." Achilles is appreciating the exceptional quality of the weapon. I just wanted to share that because it's a very good word that I'm very fond of.

Fun fact! The reason that Malphon was designed as a press-and-hold weapon and not a rapid-clicking weapon is to make it more accessible to players who, for one reason or another, might not have the motor capabilities to button mash like that. Also presumably because that would exhaust anybody.

  6. Ah! I always know Theseus as the guy with the ship.

He changed and repaired it so many times that by the end there was no part of the ship that was there in the original.

So… is it still the same ship?

  7. 49:20 "does it matter who we pick first" Of course! All the gods have different forms of vengeance. You're picking which one you want to be dealing with during the battle. For instance, I ALWAYS pick the boon from Poseidon or Aphrodite, because their attack is a seeking projectile that is awful to deal with. I far and away prefer dealing with Zeuss or Ares' damage circles.

  8. This is the first time a Rouge-Like has been this enticing to watch or play. Most of them often get boring or repetitive over time, but even after dying in a run, you just want to keep going!
    Easily a favorite of mine.

  9. Gods are jealous bi*ches…especially the olympians (at least 10 of them)…most of whom i would say is athena…she turned a woman who won against her in weaving carpets to a spider (arachne) to weave forever.

  10. So im late to this but i want to answer your question at 22:18. For the most part yes the older the god the higher ranking they are, for the most part. Then you have the children Cronus and Rhea. (Cronus being the king of the titans) They had depending on the story at least (for the most part) 6 kids: Hestia, Demeter, Hera, Hades, Poseidon, and Zeus in that order. How the older is more powerful doesnt work for these gods. Most consider Zeus the most powerful because he is the king of the gods, though hades and Poseidon are for the most part on the same amount of power as Zeus.
