I just love Poseidon cast builds, he is always my go to.
I don't know why they have heavily nerfed aspects in the past when you make the game increasingly more difficult with pacts. They should buff things so the end game pact climb is as FUN as possible.
Is Dire Misfortune not a good perk? Figure with a fast weapon you could put a lot of doom stacks on?
Mirage Shot and Curse of Drowning are mutually exclusive, sadly. Took me a while to figure out.
What is the best aspect for shield
Poseidon cast is crazy. I always thought Poseidon was a meh god. I had no idea how good the cast was, and a few days ago I tried the same build you did. Varatha/achilles aspect+Poseidon cast. The damage is crazy. I didn't try with Fiery Presence. The damage must be crazy. In duo boon with Demeter you can pick up the cast faster, and it does tons of damage.
I love that build now.
My best build so far that I've run was a combination of Poseidon, Demeter and Artemis. Poseidon's cast, Demeter's duo boon with him Blizzard shot and Artemis' duo boon with him Mistral shot all in the same run.
You basically get a cast that constantly generates a crapton of mini blade rifts and because bosses are immune to knockback it can practically insta-phase them. It was my first ever run where I never used up a single death defiance.

The game should show you the rarity of your boons when it gives you options for the poms. For some reason they all appear gray when it would be easier to just have their normal colors there that differentiate rarities
well according to wiki, curse of drowning is indeed incompatible with mirage shot.
Do a run where you only choose your least fav option of every choice.

Why is Poseidon so damn good? I've bad some absolutely bonkers runs with Tempest Flourish on shield, and ice on attack for those delicious bull rushes.

I just started playing this game, beat hades for the first time yesterday after 30 runs and I wana keep going to your lvl of heat and skill, haven't found a game this addicting in a long time

Just beaten the game to the ending credits and it is a great game if I had any complaints it would be that I wish when you entered a new heat you could see what the prizes for beating the boss would be which is usually Titan blood ambrosia and diamonds and that you could check prophecy’s while in a run and I don’t particularly like the satyr’s caves but these a very minor complaints I’ve been playing the game since early access and there’s a huge amount of replay-ability you could play the game for 50 hours and still find new content
