  1. Dan, you need to put more focus on giving out the nectar's. There is a whole combat mechanic you are missing out on that is locked behind you improving your relationship with specific characters. Which means more nectar. Lots more.

  2. Quick tip for the hades fight: when he does the attack with the many lasers, you can get very close to him (inside that fiery circle around him) and not take damage while whaling on him.

  3. Dan mental on point for this one. Staying positive about the build all run and cool, calm and collected against hades (spoilers)… for the best hades fight so far for how well you played it overall and respected mechanics and avoided damage. Spicy victory.

  4. Feedback regarding your alternative pop filter:
    – Ever so slightly more muffled dialog from yourself. Not worth the difference IMHO since the original was certainly doing a good job.

Side note: On this video at least I'm noticing a very faint noise floor of white noise. I doubt this is pop filter related though.

  5. 'This one is one that I have to give honey to?'

To go get the last ending, you need EVERYBODY at max love. So really, always give honey. Especially to gods and those in secret rooms like patroclus because you will not see them every 'loop'

  6. I don't know if you consciously know this, but you can attack most projectiles (witch balls, the furies' magic, butterflies) to get rid of them. If you have athena's boons, you would also deflect them back, but that doesn't change that you can delete the projectiles sent your way even without those.

  7. Dan, I hope when you watched this footage back you realized that the Acorn literally saved your butt from losing a Death Defiance on the hydra. The Acorn is easily one of the most useful keepsakes if you're in the experimentation stage and haven't decided what gods / boons you want prior to starting your run, because it guarantees that you suffer way less damage and possibly save a Death Defiance on bosses and lets you play extra aggressively against them at the start of the fight.

Imagine fighting Hades and how his sweep so often deceives you with its range. That sweep does 40 damage to you, possibly 60 or 80 if you've been hit by his cast prior to that and have Boiling Blood on you. Now imagine it doing zero the first five times he tries it and you can just keep whaling away.

  8. I love how Dan's first reaction to learning about Orpheus' contract is to wonder if he can get to it and mess with it. Which the sort of reaction the devs intended. XD

I also love Zag trying to tell the shades to work smarter, not harder. XD

  9. Oh! Uh, for some things, the character may need both Nectar and for you to progress their plotline. Since that means talking to them, which you can only do once an encounter with them, as well as getting the correct line of dialogue which may take a bit if they have something else to talk about, it can take a while to receive the fruits of your labor.
