Boon Rarity vs Levelling: Rarity increases base stats, and effects of leveling, of boons (and every boon has a rarity) whereas levels only increase stats and get progressively less useful, IE lvl 1 -> 2 is 20% increase and lvl 4-5 is 5% increase (and not all boons can level)
Shattered shackle is not for making early game easy, but to shift from choosing basic bonus damage boons to choosing boons that are passive. Think of it as 4 boons worth of added damage when maxed out. The trade offs are in the status effects such as hangover, deflection, etc and not having a different keepsake.
The 50 health from Cerberus's collar becomes 125 due to 50% health regain if you have three death defiance which is more than Skelly's tooth.
If you didnt know already, if you want to catch legendary fish you have to do a perfect catch (around 0.4sec after it's triggered) and it garanties at least a rare fish, with around 5% chance for it to be legendary. So if you see a hellfish wich is common, it was a bit too slow.
I didnt know that for a long time during beta and didnt get any legendary fish until i had to search the net for why it was like that.

If you are concerned with completing prophecies, I would suggest using the gods' keepsakes and studying their codex entries to make sure you pick the prerequisite boons for the ones you are missing.

One of my favorite fishing lines is when you get to hades and catch him staring at a fishing spot. Not sure if you can get that hilarious dialogue before you escape ten times.
The best use for the chill beam is when you have the boon which causes 10 stacks of chill to explode in an AoE and remove all stacks. With how fast they inflict chill it’s almost nonstop chillplosions!
Actually the broken spearpoint is incredible, and can eat a lot of damage particularly in Styx and the Hades bossfight.

It's funny because in my brain, the story of Hades and Persephone is one EVERYONE knows and it's amusing to realize I'm wrong. TBF, I had also assumed that the story of Dorian Gray was ubiquitous until I tried to tell a few of my friends my fav joke and realized I had to explain who he was before they got the joke.

Best run I had today: Was using the Beowulf version of the shield and had zeus boons for the call, for any lighttight strikes to have a chance to happen twice, another zeus boon that made magic crystals that aren't picked up repeatedly strike lightning until they're picked up again. SO basically constant lightning spam. A full god guage fo zeus took about half of Hades' lifebar on its own and the rest of the time I was able to just turtle behind the shield while the crystals did all the work.
Stubborn Roots – really good when you're on your last legs. You just go hide behind a rock for a while and keep running away until your health is up again.
