  1. Pre-firing your special while enemies just start to spawn in can be worthwhile, because it usually hits just after they spawn (similar to the charged spin with the spear). Also, Zeus's Chain Lighting on attack is an awesome boon for the Rail.

  2. Seemed to cause some confusion this run, so I'll clarify that armored enemies don't take overflow damage. If they have 1 point of armor left, and you hit them with a single attack that does 800 damage, they'll only take 1 damage and break their armor.

  3. Dan, for the next time you get Gun, I would recommend starting with a Zeus boon on the regular attack. With just a normal boon at lvl1 on the basic attack it gives you +100% dmg. And if that boon is more than normal and a few lvls up, then that is something not to scoff at. The bounce is also not bad.

  4. Hestia's is a great aspect, but vanilla gun aspect might be more your speed. Titan Blood investment gives +6 shots per reload, so leveling it once or twice can be worth it to increase how much pepper you can spray.

  5. Dan, most fated choice boons at this point probably all have a prerequisite boom you need to take first. So you're either going to have to get lucky, or look up and see which ones you are missing and find out what prerequisite boon you need to take to possibly get it to appear.

  6. Oh my god!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You could have bought a guaranteed fishing spot then immediately gone through a Chaos Gate where you could have fished. I've dreamed of finding that combo in a room.

  7. A note on armor (and I apologize I don't know how to put this into words very well): damage does not roll over from armor to health. If an enemy has a tiny sliver of armor left it doesn't matter how much damage you do in one hit, it will only get rid of the armor. Just fyi since that seemed like a small bit of confusion/frustration.

  8. It kinda hurt when he missed that fish back right before Sisyphus in tartarus. Also, the pillar with the drapes over them that he keeps just not interacting with. Also, missing the lyre.

  9. Might be weird advice, but try dying on purpose every now and then, you're doing too good and characters are just talking about the plot and not progressing with their own storys.

I've done plenty of runs where I would die as quickly as possible just to further some character progression.

  10. Dan, how do you feel about getting to the epilogue of the game on the channel? There is some story still, and what is more important there are some contracts to broke, some relationships to develop, some fun dialogs and stuff…

  11. 38:30 The game really wants to make sure you get the chance to have 2 hammers. The game is perfectly fine with respecting your decision to not get one of them, in my experience.

  12. Also dan you don’t take the damage from your special. It’s just a percentage of your max health so it’s like 5 or 6 or 7 damage. You don’t take the damage that the enemies take.

  13. Wow, you're really close to 10 clears already. I am kinda sad that you have not experienced almost any of the side characters' stories yet (because you're so good at the game funnily enough :P), because you said you would be stopping when the "credits" roll. The side characters' stories are really good, and even if you don't play them on the channel, I hope you can still experience them on your own time. It does not take that long to go through all of them. About 45 to 50 runs in total with at least 30 of them being successful, should be enough to experience most if not all of it. That may seem like a lot of runs, but when you get better, your run times will go from hour long ones to like 20 minute ones.

  14. Hey, Dan, it's possible to put your heat level above the recommended minimum! It will simply count as whatever your current recommended heat level is. So if you want, you could raise emergency measures to the max, making the bosses more interesting, without consequences! You know, aside from making them harder. Be careful with level four though, it's a dozy.

  15. Ambrosia is really only useful for bringing your friendships with the shades (Achilles, Meg, Dusa, etc) to the next level. So, spend your excess Ambrosias as you see fit.
