Hades | Achilles Wants To Try Again | #60

Hades is a roguelike action role-playing video game developed and published by Supergiant Games. The game was released for Microsoft Windows and Nintendo Switch on September 17, 2020, which followed an early access release from December 2018. Players control Zagreus, the son of Hades, as he attempts to escape from Underworld to reach Mount Olympus, at times aided by gifts bestowed on him from the other Olympians. Each run challenges the player through a random series of rooms populated with enemies and rewards, and the player uses a combination of their main weapon attack, dash power, and magic ability to defeat them while avoiding damage to progress as far as possible. While Zagreus will often die, the player can use gained treasure to improve certain attributes or unlock new weapons and abilities to improve chances of escaping on subsequent runs.

  1. Sarcastic comment incomming… Oh look another how to jolted video!

Kidding ofcourse but i do feel like you are missing out on so many builds and playstyles.

The spear of achilles is great with demeter cast because you boost the damage the crystals do for their full duration and you can cast up to 4 (if you get an extra cast stone) crystals. Get that with the duo that boost the track speed of the demeter crystals and you melt

  2. Missed the fish in the first Chaos realm, and yes fish can spawn there, and they are normally worth a lot, also yeah, when you fail an Erebus chamber, you get a red onion, which funnily enough, has codex entries, so getting them at least fills that up, also you'll like that new companion, it's effect is very useful when gathering gems and darkness

  3. You deal Bonus damage with the first attack after being invisible and if you use the greater call you you won't lose the invisibility even when attacking for a few seconds and all your damage during that time is increased.

Also it Confuses enemies of course, even if it didn't really look like it against hades, it's actually pretty alright.

  4. @Pally So the point of the hades keepsake imo is #1 it gives you an ambush style dmg increase attacking of of stealth thats amazing for high single hit dmg, #2 it charges faster i think or at least gets an initial charge of god gauge. #3 the max gauge is very strong #4 strong synergy with things like zues boon that gives x% of extra dmg for 15seconds after god call and #5 my favorite aspect about it is if you take it you cant be given other god call boons raising the chance at seeing legendary boons (and also duo boons iirc). <3

  5. From my experience, you can't find Sack on first try, 2 room minumum. so it would be better to go for normal room first, and then Skull room.

For Hades keepsake: if you using normal Call, it will make you invisible for few seconds, and your next hit will deal more damage ( not just attack ), but Greater Call makes you invisible for full duration, you take no damage and all your damage is increased by 100% on rank 3. it's very good keepsake. it charges fast, and great damage boost.

  6. I know these are done in batches, but I hope you start using other relics. Love the series but the same boons are used all the time. Let's see some new weapon/boon combos with different relics/companions

  7. I feel obliged to tell you that when you see the next room reward the wreath sort of gives you an indication of what it can be rerolled to.
A golden wreath means its beneficial for the specific run (boons, health etc) while a purple one generally gives you rewards for upgrading yourself/base (Gems, darkness)

  8. Invis call makes you lose aggro from enemies for a sec. I believe it dodges damage too. If you want fun, I haven't had more than Arthur sword with Aphrodite's attack. It does an absurd percent increase.

  10. I wonder if there is going to be appropriate payoff for Sisyphus, considering that mythologically the reason he is there is because he tricked various gods into freeing him from death several times.
