"I had only an instant and I am threefold" Very fitting and understandable, but all important. Melinoe whom she was tasked to protect, Hypnos a child of Nyx who falls under the vow she made with Night, and a painting (albeit not as important as a god/goddess but later for Melinoe to look at and familiarize herself with the people who love her)
She quite literally is threefold, why she is so often pictured with three heads and in game she splits into three. Amongst the offspring of nyx, Hecate is one of the stronger ones, but even she could seldom do much of anything against the siege of time, besides, witches bide their time, why they are so meticulous in their preparations and incantations, though to imagine how humiliating it is to only be able to do so much despite your power

I love how this is the backstory for why Hypnos, of all people, ended up in the camp.
"hypnos, because he was there" is almost like bullying lmao

Hmm, methinks Hypnos’ powers may come into play later on. It wouldn’t be the first time…
