Hades and Persephone Evermore

My first PJO video dedicated to an Olympian couple instead of a demigod couple. And in my opinion, probably the only Olympian couple that’s actually loving and functional. And while Hades does have the occasional fling with mortal women, he still remains faithful to his wife.

I chose “Evermore” from Beauty and the Beast because it really speaks about how Hades probably feels every time Persephone goes back to the surface.

I also dedicate this to my loving girlfriend. Babe, I’ll love now and FOREVERMORE.

I own nothing. All of the artwork belongs to the artists. This video was made purely for entertainment and for fans of this couple and the series.

  1. So this song for me works best with this couple, especially if it's in reference to the version of the myth where Hades couldn't go through with tricking Persephone into eating the pomegranate seeds, but Hermes does Hades a solid and tricks Demeter into thinking Persephone did because it fits with the bitter-sweet tone of the song about letting someone you love go for their sake, but still holding out hope that they will come back, and even if they don't they have become a part of you forever.

  2. Hades actually never had flings. The one about Minthe was a Roman invention and she was actually a former lover who tries to seduce him but failed because Hades loved Persephone and refused to betray her. So… Hades never had an affair after he married his beloved Persephone and that’s one reason Persephone loved him so much

  3. “They call me evil. Villain. The Devil. But the joke is on them. For I don’t care what they call me. I don’t care what they think of me. I have a duty to fulfill, and such petty things can not detract me from responsibilities.

All Gods have a duty to the world for we are bound to it and it’s people. But only I take it seriously. Only I don’t treat the world like my playground and the mortals as my playthings.

I am firstborn of Kronos and eldest of the Olympians. Cheated out of my birthright by my own family, my own siblings! Yet I got the most important job of all, dispite no one knowing it. For in the hands of any of the lesser mature Gods I call my family, the dead would flood the world of the living.

So let them spew their lies. Let them believe their falsehoods. It makes no difference nor matters not to me. After all…” sly smirk “All become my subjects eventually.”

  4. I honestly love this couple so much. Unlike Hades' Brothers' relationships with his Wives, he doesn't cheat nor disrespect his Wife, he's very faithful and respectful of his Wife. It's sad to see that Hades being portrayed as Evil in Media exists, if only some people who never looked into the Original Hades out there would look closely for the Myths. Personally, this couple holds my Heart so much, because if you think about it, Hades and Persephone fits in the "Death and the Maiden" trope, especially on how Persephone resembles Life while Hades resembles Death. It's like between Life and Death itself.
