Hades | Artemis' Support Fire | #2

Hades is a roguelike action role-playing video game developed and published by Supergiant Games. The game was released for Microsoft Windows and Nintendo Switch on September 17, 2020, which followed an early access release from December 2018. Players control Zagreus, the son of Hades, as he attempts to escape from Underworld to reach Mount Olympus, at times aided by gifts bestowed on him from the other Olympians. Each run challenges the player through a random series of rooms populated with enemies and rewards, and the player uses a combination of their main weapon attack, dash power, and magic ability to defeat them while avoiding damage to progress as far as possible. While Zagreus will often die, the player can use gained treasure to improve certain attributes or unlock new weapons and abilities to improve chances of escaping on subsequent runs.

  1. I've not played the release version, but in early access the shield has been my absolute favorite (tho I like all of them in a way), I think you will come to enjoy it a LOT, especially once you get some nice upgrades for it and get used to the playstyle and learn how it can be modified with boons and such.

  2. There is a build – If you can't seem to finish the game off at the end boss try out Malphon weapon with FULL Athena build. I mean Dash and at least either the Call or the Deflect upon taking damage, pair it with the dodge chance variant of Malphon and try to get the Dodge chance boon from Hermes while if you can, using Lambent Plume as your keepsake and use the Brutal dash that gives you damage and dodge chance when you dash just before getting hit.
Essentially you can get about 30%-40% dodge chance with an extra 50% if you dash just in time AND deflect attacks constantly, making you an immortal God.

  3. People saying they like Greek mythology makes me a bit skeptical. The modern versions we see in games, movies and stories are pretty watered down. I agree its … interesting from a historical standpoint, but also at times really really twisted and effed up.

  4. I still want to punch you scoldingly every time you calls Eros Cupid >.< it hurts my Greek Mythology loving heart soo badly ^^'

Oh and since you asked: My favourite weapon is Malphon as the Aspect of Talos. At this point i doubt you know what that means πŸ˜€

  5. My overall favorite weapon is probably the shield, but my favorite aspect is definitely the hidden aspect of the sword. You'll understand when you unlock it.

  6. gift 1 necter to each npc to get their keepsakes,
i suggest saving your blood of tartarus till you find a favorite weapon so when you finally choose an aspect on your weapon its easier to max out, (shield chaos aspect, spear achilles aspect, bow chiron aspect are one of the stronger aspects to pick from)

  7. Favorite weapon: Malfon (twin fists) by far. Pair that with Zeus' attack blessing, athena's dash blessing, Hermes' support fire = win. Attack and dash attack at the end of the combo to reset it.

  8. The spear by far – one of its alternate versions slashes your max health by 70%, so you start with 20 instead of 50, but everytime you do an attack, you gain health back. It really transforms the game.
