Hades | Aspect of Talos | #73

Hades is a roguelike action role-playing video game developed and published by Supergiant Games. The game was released for Microsoft Windows and Nintendo Switch on September 17, 2020, which followed an early access release from December 2018. Players control Zagreus, the son of Hades, as he attempts to escape from Underworld to reach Mount Olympus, at times aided by gifts bestowed on him from the other Olympians. Each run challenges the player through a random series of rooms populated with enemies and rewards, and the player uses a combination of their main weapon attack, dash power, and magic ability to defeat them while avoiding damage to progress as far as possible. While Zagreus will often die, the player can use gained treasure to improve certain attributes or unlock new weapons and abilities to improve chances of escaping on subsequent runs.

  1. I did my first ever magnetic cutter run yesterday. I got Zeus' lightning strikes around the area of your special, the hammer's shockwave when you land from the uppercut, and a chaos boon for more special damage. I did nothing that entire run but force pull people into uppercut stunlock hell (and traps if they were nearby).

    That special is so fun.

  2. Concentrated knuckle resets every time you break the combo. It doesn't stack up when you continually dash strike, so it's definitely a hammer that seems a lot better than it really is

  3. A small advices: Zeus+Aphro Duo can be used with ALL god call beside Hades'. If you like to run around being imprevious, pick Athena, Poseidon, or Ares. If you wanna be toxic, choose Dionysus or Demeter. You like interupting bosses? Aphrodite! You like thunder? Zeus!

Also, don't be too focused on upping your re-roll. Spend some on upgrading your rarity chances. Help in gibing more damage…

  4. The aspect of Talos sounded like one of the most unexciting aspects but it ended up being my favorite aspect in the game. I feel like a magnetic god, paired with hermes feather it's one of the most fun combos to speed through the game with.

  5. You had the cyclops jerky dream, seeing pat late and finding the satyr sack early. It hurt to see you give up that attack bonus on Hades for a pom 🙁
Very fun run to watch though. Extreme Measures Hades is so intense.

  6. You never want aphro's call with the aphro/zeus duo, i think you always forget the last part of its description, or dont read it :p with her call abd that duo you miss out on 2500 damage. With Zeus' you can spam lightning more often

  7. hey @MFPallytime, is there a reason you go for the shop before the boss each time? The room before the boss is always a free room (no enemies), so doesnt it make more sense to go for something that usually isnt free? And take the shop a different time, making it so you have to fight one room less?

  8. Curse of Longing isn’t as good as it seems. Every subsequent Doom does 50% LESS damage than the last one, so if doom deals 100, longing deals 50 then 25, 13, 7, 3, 2, 1. That means after 5 seconds it just deals single digit damage, which is pretty lame.
