Congrats on beating your 1st run! Didn't even lose a death defiance on Hades. Lighting rod was the real mvp.
God's keepsakes only work once for ensuring the next boon, later they just increase rarity chance. No need to smash all urns for coin, the ones with coin have a special look and color.
Usually roguelikes don't end, you just try speedrunning or sth. However, Hades does have an end with credits. You "beat" the game when you beat 10 runs. And after that there's a another ending after you max out relationships with gods. Aside from that, many characters also have sidestories.
Heat makes the game more difficult but in exchange you get rewards after beating bosses on each heat. For example, you finished a 0 heat run with sword and collected boss rewards: blood, diamond, ambrosia, blood. If you do a 0 heat sword run again, you won't get those rewards, only darkness instead. If you want those rewards again, you need to do a different weapon, or the same weapon but with a higher heat.
First succesful run in 15 trials, that was faster than mine, congratulations, you did pretty well even if you get lucky with the bons. Honestly lightning rode is making all the work for, this duo artemis zeus boon is just insane in my opinion, but some there's some littles things you may could have done better : i wouldn't have selled the athena attack boon : it was 78% attack, buff, it's incredible really and Poseidon one was bad, maybe 40%, i didn't understand this choice why but that's up to you.
And here personally at 39:49, i think i would have taken static discharge instead of the cast, the curse jolted make damage when ennemies have this curse on them and the damage go up really faster with a pomegrade or too on it, when you do a zeus run that's a must to take, even more with lighthing rode but that's okay.
Honestly i understand if you don't continue to make some videos on hades or a bit less. But just to make you know it, the game is not ended at all yet, he has a lot to offer more, the story side at least, there's some credits but you actually need to beat hades 10 times (including the first you did) to complete the story and there's even an epilogue but for this, this is very endgame content for the epilogue.
After there's the pact of punishement : the heat gauge actually gives you the opportunity to gain again the boss rewards drops up to twenty times by weapon : titan blood for Megaera and Hades, diamond for the Hydra, and ambrosia for Asterius and Theseus.
Always such a bittersweet feeling finishing a run at first- but regardless congratulations!! As others have said though, lots of game to uncover yet if that interests you…
You had some of my favorite boons equipped (I am no stranger to cheese myself), when I’m aggressive I always tend to suffer. Also a good note for Theseus, his godly aid will always be from a god you haven’t contacted during the run (unless you’ve contacted all), sometimes I’ll go out of my way to pick up Dionysus, Demeter, and Zeus boons just cause they’re a pain to fight against! Excited for future content in whichever form.
