  2. YES REVERT 9.5. Literally ruined all the fun for Smite 1. If these base stats stay for Smite 2 I know the game is already going to have a bad start when it fully releases. Not being able to do damage is not a fun mechanic.

  3. Having played a bit of this second stage of the Alpha, either most people didn't take the time to fill in the survey of the first test or Hi-Rez didn't give a f*ck about the feedback.
    So many QoL changes were proposed and almost none of them made it into stage 2. It sucks

  4. So not gonna lie..I have quite a few disagreements. Consumable slots are fine but they also were part of a problem. Now the potions have to take up an item slow so no one walks around with 5 health pots end game so if they escape they heal almost to full. That's 1.

    2. it allows the potions to be as strong as they are and still be the cost.

    3. MP should be a problem, when All the items got MP5 on them, Blue became useless. Additionally, balancing with mana costs became negligible. You'd have the mana when you needed it unless hyper spam with Bumba's hammer. However it also means the items that do have it? Are also an option and carry value.

    4. The HP being high is fine, there's less damage in the game overall as it should kinda be to incentivize more grouped fighting. 1v1's are good but also you shouldn't 1 round of skills and the person is already 1hp. That's bad design entirely. people got super used to making quick kills, that means you have lost laning phases. Means you promote snowball. Means you can't reward outplay as much as normally the first to make it 1 player game has won the fight.

    5. I don't feel like those kind of changes work for the direction Smite 2 seems to be heading towards. It's kinda why Jungle gets so much more XP but lanes get more Gold. Builds matter more for Laners but Jungle needs levels to be able to gank earlier and get their gold from killing Laners then splitting wave/doing more camps. It's a commitment where you trade the one advantage for the ability to influence the map more.

    Now I don't think my thinking is perfect logic however that's simply why these playtests matter. If they do a change and internally check it and it feels bad for the direction they simply won't use it. I'd like for the game to be healthier for build variety and fun and some of what Mast and a few others bring up will do only one and be bad for the other.

  5. I like that you can jump and fear in Hades ult but I do think some changes should to be made to make it a bit more fair for both sides.
    – Hades ult can't use the 3.
    – Every ability cast reduces the time of the ult by 20% of max + whatever animation time the ability is cast for.
    – His 1 and his 2 can only be cast once per ult. They go straight on cooldown after using and can't be used even if they come off of cooldown before ult ends.

    BUT, Hades' other 2 abilities gain bonus effects with the ult.
    – Hades leap-ult pulls enemies into Hades, similar to Herc 2 but less height. Allowing Hades to punish enemies with fewer escapes or those that use them too early.
    – Hades fear-ult affects all enemies currently in his ult regardless of the cone. They are dealt the 3 passive-burst damage if they are hit by the cone. This allows him to use his ult to hit multiple people easier and allow him to even work as a massive Danz 2.
    I think this would be a much better way to balance it and also incentivise smarter play with Hades ult for both players. If you spam your abilities, then you lose the ult value but you still have the abilities available.

  6. 27:20 – I'm one of those people. Never played Smite 1 but a couple of my friends talked me into trying this with them. Will be playing it today for the 1st time, hopefully with more friendly and welcoming people than you.
