Hades is a game where the main character Zagreus tries to escape hell over and over. But speedrunner Vorime says “No thanks” and just does it in one try! So ride along with Supergiant Games’ Amir Rao (Studio Director) and Greg Kasavin (Creative Director) as they watch and react to one of the coolest speedruns we’ve seen yet!

Interesting to finally hear the devs behind plenty of great games so far
nice
any% is the same as me loading up an cheat engine and then loading up the endscene
Ugh..this highlights how terrible I am at this game. I'm at nearly 55 runs and I still haven't managed to kill Hades yet. Still loving it though.
game of the year?
Amir: "Hello everyone, I'm Amir R…"
Me: yea yea bro I'm subscribed to noclip, ik exactly who you and Greg are.
Well I learned at least one thing to do… HUG YOUR DAD.
The complexity of the dialogue flags is remarkable.
Fun video, but I'm more happy I learned about the hug the superlazer to keep dealing damage. It'll be way more efficient than hiding behind a a rock.
After having played the game for 2 days(while working), I'm happy to say that I reached Theseus and Minotaur on my second day. I feel there is a sliding glitch where you move and attack. It kept slipping me in the lava. Switch version.
Love these guys!
After watching this speedrun, I lost motivation to continue playing this game.
Increadible.
Supportive shade ALWAYS gets my time of day. Every run.
So this is my story:
I downloaded the game after watching this video.
I really thought it's that easy as it looks here.
Second tunnel Lucky damn
I'd love to have lunch with these guys. They seem so lovely
"I just assume everything a speedrunner does is not a mistake and is part of the run-"
Well, Hades is a relatively new game, so quality of play (a term used by Summoning Salt) will only be present a few years down the line. But right now, we are seeing the fresher stages of speedrunning. I really hope the game continues to get speedrun'd!
Interimo adapare vorime
I want to play this game now.
Ngl it made me feel a lot better about how often I take trap damage in this game when I saw this super experienced Hades player do it too
The fact that the video has 666 k views is just …. AMAZING lmaooooo
Its so cool to hear Greg Kasavin again. Such an awesome reviewer/writer/director.
You should have the devs of Wizards of legends watch that games speedrun
"if someone can go the distance…" oh? Hercules reference? Lol, that song is very fitting for Zag too tho, I mean, look:
"I'll be there someday, I can go the distance
I will find my way if I can be strong
I know every mile would be worth my while
When I go the distance, I'll be right where I belong"
my best was 25:46 because of the time limit of the pact, this guy is beast
Really cool seing devs who are basically speedrunners themselves, made a game speedrunners would love, added an in game time, and knows the big speedrunners for their game
You mean to tell me that I've been playing for 80+ hours and all I had to do to beat Hades is hug my dad!?
Bloody Hell
WOW, this crap and Last of WOKE 2 are in the best game of the year??? yea 2020, the year of CRAP
i could barely get past the first floor on a fresh run…
Wait, they must have changed this later down the line. I'm like 99% sure you can't get the satyr sack at the end of the very first path you choose in the most current version.
I completed this game on my tenth attempt, whew this player makes me seem like a noob
My first run through I got halfway through Asphodel.
no joke the developer sounds just like a yung Tom Green
