Hades – Final boss fight example (The Temple of Styx boss)

This Hades PS5 game guide video shows an example of a final boss fight. It’s the Hades himself and the boss battle takes place in the Temple of Styx after finding a gift for Cerberus and moving the animal out of the way. We’ve used the Eternal Spear in this example of how the boss fight can play itself out. Expect to use different tactics with other weapons and for other things to look differently based on your active boons and permanent unlocks.
The final boss fight has two phases and in each phase your objective is to drain Hades’s health bar. In the first phase watch out for the boss’s thrust and 360 attacks – they’re very common. Hades will fire projectiles – if you get hit you’ll receive a negative state resulting in receiving more damage and if you avoid it the projectile will explode after a few seconds (you can destroy it to prevent that). Hades will also use invisibility (watch for the footprints) and summon reinforcements – kill them only if they’re in your way.
In the second phase of the fight Hades will start using very dangerous energy beam attacks – always stand behind cover to avoid getting hit and be ready to move to the sides if necessary. The boss will also be summoning green objects. Stay away from them when they’re destroyed or you can get stunned and also hit by the boss.

  1. Important – Our video is merely an example and display of overall tactics in the final boss battle. The fight itself can look differently depending on your main weapon, your other attacks (including Cast and its variations), difficulty level and on the boons and permanent unlocks you have available.
