  1. One time I got the sword hammer upgrade that increases damage with money alongside an early side hustle upgrade.
So incredibly strong by the end.
The choice whether or not to buy the diamond was hard.

  2. Firstly, congratulations. Given that you are getting consistently good at your runs, and each run takes a lot of time and effort, I can fully understand being done with it here. Since your play computer is your recording computer, you can always slap record if things are about to be cool, and ditch the footage if it's not. If the next few peeps we hear of hades are compilations that show the best and most curious moments of the last MONTH, or three of not mentioning it, that'll still be fine.

  3. Congrats on the hat trick and getting the credits! Hope you continue to enjoy the game and see more of it!

Also reiterating that if you wanted to play more of this or other games that require more time than fits the channels schedule, I and I'm sure others would be down to watch streams or unedited recordings of things like that.

  4. Got my first Covid shot, so I'm celebrating with some Dan and a nice, big, steaming mug of peppermint hot coco. Ah 🙂

Oh, Dan. "So you could come up here all this time……I'm stealing your stuff again, next chance I get."

  5. 27:15… Hermes has attack speed boosts for both attack and special as well as movement speed and number of dashes upgrades. Admittedly he does have some mediocre/lame powers but Hermes is a rare pick for a reason

  6. Fun thing about "In the Blood": It's based off of two themes: "No Escape" for the verse (the main menu music, same motif as the final boss), and "On the Coast" for the bridge (the Greece theme, compare specifically to the motif that plays when Zag and Persephone are talking).

  7. As others have explained, exceeding the heat gauge does still get you bounties, just for the lowest heat level you've yet to claim – so heat 6 from Extreme Measures would have got Dan the same heat 2 bounties as his actual heat 2 run. And his next Malphon run would have to be at least heat 3 to get bounties, and so on.

When it comes to Supergiant games, I enjoyed Bastion (I own it on both Steam and Switch, and have completed it multiple times), was lukewarm on Transistor (I've got through it once but not felt any great need to return), and Pyre just didn't land for me (I've played a couple of trials and given up), but Hades is their best yet for me – my personal game of the year.

As of this posting, apparently as a result of this video, the Patreon has over 1000 patrons (1004), so canvassing for the next bonus playthrough has commenced.

  8. As there are a lot of people in the comments going about story spoilers, I'm up to give some indications on what it's still there mechanically that Dan hasn't covered.
    Mechanical spoilers ahead!

Arthur Sword: very slow, very powerful. Special drops an AoE safe zone that disables traps (and magma). Has immediate potential to crit for 1k damage if you find Deadly Strike. Best sword 11/10.

Beowulf Shield: can load casts and expends them to empower its bull rush. Special is slower and doesn't bounce as far but packs a punch. Take more damage while you use it.
Still not as dangerous as Guan Yu Spear.

Rama Bow: attack is slower but has a lot more width. Special now fires bouncing arrows straight ahead that mark foes to take damage when you attack.
Dionysus and Ares love this bow. Can clear entire rooms using only special.

Gilgamesh Fists: technically the claws of Enkidu. Dash covers less distance but you gain 2 more. Attack now hits in an arc but is slower. Dash upper now debuffs the enemy's defense and damages them after a bit.
A bit clunky, but any strong attack boost makes this a beast.

    Lucifer Rail (yes that Lucifer):
"So we made a greek gun, what's next?"
    "Lasers."
    "What?"
    "And AoE traps."
Zeus loves this aspect. Demeter and Athena have their good moments on attack and special respectively.

    Companions:
There are 5 more companions to get! Each has its own method of helping.
Meg: hits enemies in a rather large line.

Than: large area, but delay. Hits the hardest.

Dusa: petrifies enemies. Makes you question why you sent the maid to fight.

Sysisphus: drops a Bouldy on your enemies. Bouldy drops health, gold and darkness.

Achilles: attacks twice at one enemy.

    There's also…
Fully Loaded (Artemis Legendary): +2 bloodstones. Especially good with Stygian Soul.

All the duos requiring Poseidon cast: seriously, there's way too many of them. But they're all extremely good.

Winter Harvest (Demeter Legendary): enemies with 10% or less health that are chilled die instantly. Works on bosses.

    And lastly:
Sigil of the Dead: Hades' keepsake. Gives you a call that makes you invisible.

I think that's all for interesting boons and such! Thanks for reading.
