This exploit only works if there’s already a fish in this area.
1. fish
2. collect rewards. game will automatically save
3. quit to title screen
4. reload your save file, you will see that the fishing spot comes back
5. hand in your fish to the head chef! you can see from this video that I caught 2 bass, and I handed in both 😀
