Hades' Gameplay, Story And The Player Connection – An Analysis

Hades is a game where the Gameplay, Story and Player all end up doing the same thing. It seems SuperGiant Games had an idea of making sure every aspect of the game had the same goal and philosophy (including the person playing hit) and they did an excellent job. Hades Gameplay is a Rogue-light (rogue-Like?) which means every room is random and the items you get are also totally random. This gameplay being front in center means that the player is doing exactly what the gameplay wants them to do. what makes this interesting is how the story is about escape, and trying again and again when it doesnt work out. This is the exact same thing the gameplay is about, and the main character Zagreus, has the goal of escaping. Since playing the game is about escape, then playing as a guy who has the same story driven goal as you creates a synergy between every element of the game.

This Analysis took a very long time to make, which mainly had to do with me getting stuck multiple times rather than the actual process being long. its good to make something, its good to be back.

Also the Thumbnail I made for this is complete garbage.
