When the realm is divided between the three, Hades is given the Underworld.
He protested, but Zeus clarified that ultimately every soul will be subject to his rule after death.
This made Hades accept his new realm.
He ruled the underworld with his wife, Persephone and his three headed dog, Cerberus.
Hades is portrayed as stern and pitiless who is not wavered by prayer or sacrifice.
However, we must remember, Hades didn’t pass judgements on the souls.
That was the job for the three demigods, Minos, Aiakos, and Rhadamanthys.
