Hades, In Greek mythology, he is the underworld god who rules over the dead. While Zeus shares dominion over the Earth with his siblings, assigning the sky to Zeus, the seas to Poseidon, and the underworld to Hades. He is now the god of the land of the dead, yet he is not inherently malevolent.
