“Hades Heroes” Session Part 1. Level 0 ShadowDark Gauntlet

Part 1 of my homebrew level 0 ShadowDark Gauntlet – Hades Heroes!

I started a fresh campaign for 2025 and decided to have it professionally recorded so people could see how I run my campaigns. I don’t make any claims about being Matt Mercer, but I try to weave an interesting setup tale where, here in Part 1, the heroes start off already dead(!) in the Underworld of Tartarus and they sign a Soul Contract with Hades himself for a second shot at life. Then they begin the journey to the surface world of the living by entering the Black Labyrinth!

Level 0 ShadowDark characters have only 1d4 HP and no special skills or magic. They are trying to become level 1 heroes, so generally speaking, Gauntlets are a Meatgrinder with plenty of horrible and hilarious deaths.
