  5. Sounds like they were forced to make the sequel because someone went "reeeee, why can't I play as a woman?" Anyone want to put money on the third installment's protagonist being Zagreus' fat black cousin?

  11. hades 2 is disgusting.

    the same stuff as the first one, but only bigger and more everything, after 5 years they come back with the presumption that people will even give them the money to develop it..

    It takes the worst dynamic of triple A to have no ideas and always do the same things but MORE AND BIGGER, let triple A do this shit.

    and then it also takes the worst dynamic of the indies by making the users pay to develop the game, without even having the desire to invest all the sufficient money in it.

    the first hades was beautiful and brought newness and freshness, this for me is disgusting.

  24. Pointless polemic aside… i was lucky and i got to play the tech Playtest, since i play hades 1 for more than 200 hours.
    Obviously it is a direct sequel and therefore the gameplay has a very similar feeling… but you can already see several new features, especially the management of mana and the enhanced version of the skills which makes the gameplay of the new protagonist quite different and even a little more strategic, also i feel like they nerf the dodge a little.
    The weapons are also very different from those used by Zagreus, the same thing goes for the divine powers, dev didnt just recycling the old one, there are many new features, dot and effect… all these new skills combined with the protagonist's spells will create a variety of even bigger crazy build than hades 1.
    My only hope, however, is that in this sequel there is some alternative main path (unlike the first game where you have to do Tartarus->Asphodel->Elysium->Temple of Styx) I would like it if there was at least one main crossroads halfway through a run.

  26. Be interesting to see how it does: Looks a lot like a copy of the first so will probably do well but nothing especially new stands out: I guess don't break a winning formula? Kinda more excited by Rift Wizard 2 which has been out for just under a month now.
