Been aware of this game since its announcement almost 2 years ago. Loved Bastion, was meh on Transistor, didn't play Pyre. Also, while I tend to really enjoy roguelikes/lites for their gameplay, I generally rarely feel compelled to keep playing them after a few hours (I've only finished 1 roguelike/lite – Dead Cells – out of the dozen or so I've played. Almost finished Darkest Dungeon. The rest are all just in the 5ish hours playtime. Even ones I think are amazing games like Slay the Spire, Star Renegades, One Step From Eden, etc). So…I had no interest in this game.
Until all the post-release hype. Holy jeez. Get Indie Gaming calling this the best indie game they've ever played? All the loving reviews. I finally decided to get it just tonight lol. I do love hacknslash games, especially on controller, so hopefully the rogue elements are solid enough to keep me engaged to want to continue playing.
