  1. Making games seems hard as hell, especially if you have a lot of mechanics going on. I don't mean this as a jab (A lot of comments on these videos are usually negative, I know) but watching Woolie avoid actively trying to use his attacks to stagger the mini-boss at the start is interesting. It feels similar to the situation with his sprint boon from last video; I think he saw that his sprint was doing 140 damage to Hecate but after hitting her with it once and just never used it again. It seems like there are points where he's trying to 'deduce' cause and effect without testing, presumably out of an abundance of caution (what if the stagger doesn't last long enough to stop an attack, or what if the sprint boon only hits once every X seconds and I die trying to figure it out?). These two examples in particular are not examples that get tutorialized by Skelly or whatever, you just have to figure it out by playing the game.

I don't think it's bad or good, I mostly just think it's interesting. I take this stuff for granted but everybody approaches these games differently and I wonder how much internal testing they do to try and figure out how to communicate this stuff to players.
