Hades stands out as one of the best games of the year in a year thatโ€™s had most of the best games of the decade. Iโ€™ve been really enjoying all of Supergiantโ€™s projects through the years and this is probably my favorite so far. When this song kicked into gear for me as I was fighting Meg, I lost it. I instantly wanted to pick up a guitar (after I had my ass handed to me by Meg) and figure out what the hell was going on with the time signature!

There were a few ways to approach it, but Iโ€™m never a huge fan of alternating time signatures. That was going to be an issue since it felt like a solid 21/8 for the main parts of the song. I ended up counting it in 7/8 with some synchopation in there and it worked out beautifully and insanely fun to play. I could hardly looking menacing and Hades like in the video because I was having so much fun playing it! The solo I wrote at the end was incredibly hard to write but I did my best and hope it still sounds good!

Mixwise Iโ€™ve still been using the Sonarworks setup to try and get a better read on how my mixes will sound to the general public, so especially with this one having acoustic guitars throughout, I was nervous to release what sounded good with the sound profile and not so good without it. I've been so obsessed with the sound track since its early access more than a year ago (especially Darren Korb and Ashley Barrett's singing), and I was hoping to hear some covers from you! I hope you consider Lament of Orpheus or even Adriana singing Good Riddance? I'd absolutely die!! โ™ฅโ™ฅ
