Hades Nintendo Switch performance & overview – one HELL of a game!

Welcome to my overview and performance look at Hades on the Nintendo Switch. This hack and slash roguelike from the brilliant Supergiant Games has been in Early Access on PC for a while, but now gets a Switch port that is one hell of a game!

FROM THE PUBLISHER
===================
Hades is a god-like rogue-like dungeon crawler that combines the best aspects of Supergiant’s critically acclaimed titles, including the fast-paced action of Bastion, the rich atmosphere and depth of Transistor, and the character-driven storytelling of Pyre.

The rich, atmospheric presentation and unique melding of gameplay and narrative that’s been core to Supergiant’s games is here in full force: spectacular hand-painted environments and a blood-pumping original score bring the Underworld to life.

  1. Completed my first run last night, I was all palms sweaty, moms spaghetti. Amazing feeling. Rather than think that's it and put it down though, the end game loop has me just wanting to jump back in again and again. This could very well be game of the year for me, no joke.

  2. I think the art style is really cool. Problem for me is that I just can't get into isometric games at all, been like than since Ultima VI. So yeah it looks really nice but I'll not buy it purely because I know I wouldn't play it. (as for goty, I don't believe I really have one ..yet..)

  3. This looks awsome, but do you lose all your weapons/power ups upon death? I never got into Children Of Morta because of that mechanic. Might be I have a problem with rogue-like, I love ARPG though
