  1. Glad to see you give in and play this game. I have not played Ghosts or Last of Us 2. But at this time of pre Age of Calamity and Cyberpunk, Hades is my GOTY over FF7R

  2. As someone who gets frustrated with roguelikes really easily and get worn out from dying and losing everything and playing the same levels over and over again, Hades was like night and day for me. It is the only roguelike I actually beat… and beat it enough to see the true ending (10 times clearing)… and the story being drip fed through dying over and over again was really good and inspired me to keep going; the story is definitely of SuperGiant quality, so you know you are getting something special. You actually feel really strong as you continue to die and upgrade your stuff. I love the game and is easily one of my favorite games of this year.

  3. My man has seen the light! Supergiant Games has done it again with Hades, tied with Ghost of Tsushima as my GOTY. It's also the first roguelike that I really got into.

Also that SN30 Pro+ is super legit, glad you were able to get one of those as well OJ.

  4. played through hades with the sn30pro+ also. it's a great controller, but i wish it could wake up the switch. instead, i have to wake it up with the pro controller, then switch to the sn30 from the home menu. still think the official pro controller is the best, mine has the drift issue. sn30 is easily the next on line, and probably better for games focused on dpad.

  6. I’m not a fan of rogue-like games, but I love Greek Mythology, so I bought it when it came out. I already spent over 130 hours and I am still not tired of the game. My friend also doesn’t like rogue-like games and after I told him about it and then showed him the game, he bought it right away and he is playing it and loving it. Hades is a 10 out of 10 for me.

  7. Great review! Hades is awesome and I'm glad you gave it a go. I love my SN30 Pro + and it's my go to controller. I do have that issue with the home button but only when I play Rocket League lol. I've somewhat built muscle memory to avoid it but when things get intense I have still accidently hit the home button.

  8. Hey OJ! Glad to see you trying out Hades after listening to your doubts on rouge-likes on the Spawncast. It truly is a great game, and I'm curious to see what you think about the story and character interactions later in the game. Personally, I love how intricate the writing can be depending on your choices and the things you achieve during your runs.

  9. Hades is easily my game of the year (sorry SOR4). In my opinion, it blows away the other roguelikes/roguelites. Heck, I’m some aspects, I prefer Zagreus over even Kratos. Magnificent game. Just beat the game and immediately jumped right back in to see it through to the true ending. Can’t wait.

  10. I loved binding of Isaac and darkest dungeon so I was excited to play dead cells after all the hype and I found it rather disappointing. So hearings you weren't a fan either makes me very intrigued with this game.
