It’s a rogue-like dungeon crawler that’s an amalgamation the finest qualities from Supergiant’s critically acclaimed titles, like Bastion’s fast-paced action, the beautifully colored, deep, atmosphere seen in Transistor, and Pyre’s clever character-driven storytelling style.
OLYMPUS AND THE CHTHONIC GODS OF THE UNDERWORLD HAVE GOT YOUR SIX
The Greek gods of Olympus and the Chthonic gods are on your side! Zeus, Athena, Poseidon, Hermes, Dionysus, Nyx, Persephone, Thanatos, Cerberus, Megaera the Fury, even Charon and Hades himself are all on your side even if at times it doesn’t feel like it. Each of them will all gift you with a variety of powerful enhancements or Boons that will skyrocket your strength and skillset to battle the perilous foes scattered throughout the underworld.
THE OLYMPIAN GODS, THE CHTHONIC GODS, SOME COOL SHADES, AND HELLAVA LOT MONSTEROUS SPIRITS AWAIT YOU IN HADES
There are lots of cool characters to interact with and escape run builds you can aim for with each of your escape runs. Supergiant games has assembled an incredibly gifted cast of characters dying to meet you in Hades! Build your relationships with them, and experience the unfolding of Hades’ unique story of events. You’ll come to know how high the stakes are for this very large, and very dysfunctional family. Zagreus’ successes will touch and transform the underworld, the surface of the earth, and Olympus itself.
NO ONE REALLY DIES IN HADES, NOT LIKE REALLY DEAD ANYWAY
In Hades, this rogue-like dungeon crawler, Zagreus defies his father Hades, the god of the dead, and attempts to leave the Underworld by battling his way out to reach the surface. Each time you venture out into the ever-shifting chambers of the Underworld, you’ll discover and experience something new. There are guardian bosses at the end of each level of the underworld that will remember you and bombard you with their words of doubt and fear, but you can overcome all of them given enough practice, knowledge and skill. You can use the ancient weapons used to defeat the Titans and permanent enhancements from powerful Mirror of Night that is a gift from Nyx, the goddess of Night herself. Nyx is also the one who raised Zagreus, and encourages him to grow in strength, knowledge, and skill so he can succeed in the enormous task he finds has been laid at his feet. With each escape from his home within the HOUSE OF HADES, Zagreus gains his own strength as a young god in the making.
EACH RUN IS NEW
It’s never the same experience twice! Each time you play, you’ll combine the divine might in the boons gained from the various Olympians along with your own growing strength and skill in new ways. You’ll meet a hell of a lot of challenges as you help Zagreus unravel more of the Hades story which features the award-winning art, audio, and Supergiant Games’ storytelling style in this video game. You’ll be able to play Hades for hundreds of hours while still discovering new character builds and story events with each run through Hades.

The incredible presentation of a deep, colorful, and rich environment, and the unique melding of gameplay and narrative, that’s been the hallmark of Supergiant’s video games, is displayed in the spectacularly colorful hand-painted Underworld environments and also include an original score that brings the Underworld in Hades to life.
