  1. I played this game a bit, but had to stop due to hand issues. I went back to fully complete it and it's incredible. Top 5 game of all time for me. I don't know if I have all the footage but I end up fully clearing the story and winning on 32 heat.

BTW there was a copyright thing that muted one of the songs. Go listen to "Good Riddance" (Eurydice version) when it plays!

  2. Oh Hades! You're in for a treat!
Edit: Nevermind, you picked Hell mode. That's a terrible mistake (not really, but having NO grace period after being hit gonna be rough, i.e. 1:44:39 you would have been hit once instead of 3 times)

  3. I love this game and I am so much looking forward to how you will react to it. Please focus on the game, not the chat, like you did in Tunic. You missed so much stuff back then.

  4. I used to think it was luck that aided Carl in these stressful circumstances but I have realized that after years of hidden blocks and trolls this man is ready for any nonsense you throw at him. Better known as immersion therapy.

  5. "You cant heal", so i played zelda links awakening, started a game a long time ago, didnt finish it, i think i just did a dungeon or 2. Came back a long time after, and all of a sudden i realized no enemies dropped hearts or anything, nothing healed me, it didnt drop any healing hearts. I realized i was playing on hero mode after a while. So i died quite a lot in that game lol. But it was fun. I never played it on normal before.

  6. I would highly suggest remapping the dodge button to something you can tap even while hitting the attack button. I used a shoulder button, since I'd gotten so used to dodging with it in Bayonetta. Worked out VERY well.

  7. the trick to hades is to go as defensive as you can boon-wise (using aprhodite, athena dash, poseidon call, hp ups) at the start to get a chance to observe and learn patterns, then go as offensive as you can almost all the time once you know how to deal with most things, because the faster you kill stuff, the less damage it can do to you. dash attack into enemies all day long

along that way, power up death defiance, get that extra dash and damage from the mirror and you're golden.

alternatively, you can cheese it with demeter/artemis duo boon (demeter cast lasers track faster and are stronger + demeter boon that causes damage for every 10 frost stacks) lets you just run away while the crystal kills what needs to die, or artemis/zeus, which makes lightning strike where your bloodstone cast is on the map. just circle that bloodstone without collecting and the boss dies by itself.

  8. I know chat likes to meme about Carl in troll levels getting caught by everything, but seriously the level of skill this man has at video games is very impressive. First time hardcore Subnautica clear, no diffs the grand majority of Elden Ring and a 32 Heat clear in Hades.

Good stuff, and a good dude overall.
